    Only Declare. I've read it three times now.

    If anything it's made a little better by having read "Eminent
    Georgians", which includes a long essay on St John Philby.

    Only _Declare_ for me, as well. I remember absolutely nothing about it
    except that I had trouble maintaining interest. I don't appear to
    have a taste for Powers.

    It's a very typical book for Powers, and I would think that if it didn't
    work for you, none of his work will, except possibly "The Anubis Gates",
    which is a little more of a romp than his other works. And is shorter
    than most of his later books.
