Oh dear. Making changes mid-franchise (or in this case
mid-sub-franchise) is almost always a stupid thing to do. :-(

The Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer Changes Has Star Wars Fans Confused

The first trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is out, and fans were
quick to spot some potential retcons in the upcoming Star Wars movie.

What changes are Star Wars fans confused about?
The first thing fans noticed in the new trailer is that Din Djarin
(Pedro Pascal) and Grogu are back together again, and in a familiar
setting. The pair can be seen inside of the Razor Crest, Djarin's
iconic ship that was seemingly destroyed in the Disney+ series
    The Mandalorian.

Although the ship looks to sport some new colors on it, it's still
unclear exactly how the ship is back. Perhaps Djarin used some of his
space connects to build a new one, or perhaps we'll see the creation
of the new one in the movie.

Another note some fans were confused about was Grogu's reunion with
Djarin as a whole. The Mandalorian Season 2 ended with Grogu heading
off with Luke Skywalker to begin his Jedi training. For those who
might have missed some Star Wars content in between, this is actually
    explained throughout multiple Disney+ projects.

In The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu and Djarin reunite and Grogu decides
to abandon his Jedi training in order to continue adventuring with
Djarin. The Mandalorian Season 3 covers the pairs reunion and also
explains how IG-11, the bounty hunter droid voiced by Taika Waititi,
makes a return. At the end of the third season, IG-11 is rebuilt by
Anzellan mechanics to serve as the new marshal of Nevarro, a title
    previously held by Cara Dune.

The Mandalorian and Grogu trailer reunites Star Wars fans withaPedro
Pascal's Din Djarin andaGrogu, also known asaBaby Yoda. Also starring
in the movie areaSigourney Weaver, Johnny Coyne, andaJeremy Allen
    Whiteaas Rotta the Hutt.

The Mandalorian and Grogu will be the first theatrically released
Star Wars movie since 2019's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The
only other Star Wars movie that has a release date at this time is
Shawn Levy's Star Wars: Starfighter, which arrives on May 28, 2027.
That film recently started production and will star Ryan Gosling,
Aaron Pierre, Amy Adams, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Flynn Gray, and more.

Lucasfilm's The Mandalorian and Grogu arrives in U.S. theaters on
May 22, 2026. The first three seasons of The Mandalorian are
currently available to stream on Disney+.

A couple of times Mando has mentioned getting another Razor Crest
(it's never been consistent as to whether this is the ship's name or
model). The ship he's got at the moment is certainly no good for
bounty hunting, what with only one seat (plus the space for Grogu).
