And it does look like the show is having a rest - certainly there's
no news from the BBC or Disney+, the former apparently waiting for
the latter to decide whether to recommission it or not. "Or not" is
reportedly the likeliest outcome, which means that the BBC might be
in search for a new streaming partner... although the BBC could fund
it itself without another company involved - it just doesn't seem
to want to.
Even showrunner, Russell T Davies, has admitted that the series is
"on pause".
That's wonderful news. With enough time to forget the embarrassing
years, the show might be revivable again. That would be great.

That is never going to happen. The Timeless Child monster rewriting the >Doctor's origin story has disenfranchised the majority of fans, and
Ncuti Gatwa has killed off the entire franchise so there is no one left
to call for the series to return or write it as there was after it was >cancelled in 1989.
Whittaker, Gatwa and the infantile writing with everything revolving
around puerile magic, feelings, sentiment, and emotion targeted at 12
year old girls of very low intelligence, and homosexuals has not
encouraged one single viewer to go into STEM or study English literature >since scientific thinking and methodology, logic and reason have all
been shunned and men deliberately attacked, insulted, alienated and
driven away with no manifestation of a hero's journey whatsoever, no >meaningful characterisation, no character development, no plot, no

Why would anyone want any of this woke garbage back?

Hey, it could still happen! When they revived Roseanne, they ignored the >ridiculous last years. A DW revival could ignore the ridiculous last >Doctors.

That sounds about right. As well as being overly sexed up, it also
somehow manages to be childish. It's a family show at its core, but
families include teenagers and parents. It shouldn't be *just* for
people whose minds aren't fully developed.
Don't forget that this critique is coming from someone currently
marathoning My Little Pony. :\

Any time somebody from Doctor Who opens their mouth these days,
be it Ncuti Gatwa or RTD, I find it so cringe worthy. They spout
such bollocks.

I like Ncuti Gatwa but my eyes rolled at that one. Why say that?
Is he not clever enough to know that it sounds lame for a fit
actor of his age to say that?

Well, they do have to be consistent with the bollocks that the show
itself has become. :-p
