New Tron: Ares Trailer Shows Off Incredible IMAX Visuals

Disney has released a brand new Tron: Ares trailer, previewing
the film's IMAX release with new footage from the upcoming
sci-fi blockbuster.

Tron: Ares "follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who
is sent from the digital world into the real world on a
dangerous mission, marking humankind's first encounter with
A.I. beings," according to the film's official synopsis.
Tickets for Tron: Ares are on sale now.

What is shown in the new Tron: Ares trailer?
The trailer highlights Ares, a mysterious AI played by Jared
Leto who is brought into the real world by Julian Dillinger
(Evan Peters). Ares is marketed as a brilliant soldier who is
capable of being respawned at any time, but things seem to
quickly go off the rails.

Alongside Leto, Tron: Ares also features a star-studded cast
that includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie
Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson,
Jeff Bridges, and Sarah Desjardins.

Tron: Ares will be the third official feature film inaDisney's
Tron franchise following 1982's Tron and 2010's Tron: Legacy.
The film is directed by Joachim Ronning, who previously made
2019's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and 2024's Young Woman and
the Sea. He also co-directed 2017's Pirates of the Caribbean:
Dead Men Tell No Tales with Espen Sandberg. The script for the
film is written by Jesse Wigutow.

Tron: Ares will be released in U.S. theaters and IMAX on
October 10, 2025, from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
