  • End of an era

    As of last Wednesday, Google search stopped working with the Lynx
    browser.

    I prefer to do my web searches with Lynx on Panix, since it's fast,
    clean, ad-free, safe from malware, and anonymous.

    Instead of typing "lynx google.com" each time, I had long since
    aliased that to "go."

    So since Google decided it no longer wants my business, I simply
    changed that alias to instead point to "lynx duckduckgo.com."
    That way I don't even have to relearn anything.

    Google was nice while it lasted, but nothing lasts forever.
