'they' tried a Young Indiana filmá .... and that wrecked the franchise.
The 4th movie, "Legend of the Crystal Skulls"
was about 10 years ago...known for Jones riding out a nuclear test
explosion in a refrigerator. The last one (5th) was released by Disney about 2 years ago and stunk like rotting cabbage.

Technically, the Indiana Jones franchise went progressively
downhill after the first two films, which is what happen when
you return to the well too often... Hollywood hasn't really
learnt that lesson though as we can see now where everything is
just a remake or reboot.

Some people are saying the recent game, "Indiana Jones and the Great >Circle", is a good story, although the game itself has divided opinion.
