I don't think there is a "usual page space" for XKCD.
I mean, hit the "Prev" button a few times, and you will get all sorts
of stuff.

I don't think there is a "usual page space" for XKCD.
I mean, hit the "Prev" button a few times, and you will get all sorts
of stuff.
Considerable variation in height and width, yes, but (at least within memory) they all fit within the white box-with-rounded-corners (middleContainer in the CSS). When I wrote the comic was about twice as large as it is now, extending out of the box (and off my screen) to the right.
It's now a "normal" size, so not part of the joke. Must have cut after measuring again.
