The right of people to self-determination is not some kind of bargaining
chip, some kind of rCLrewardrCY (whether for good behaviour or anything else). All too often in politics, it seems, the right things are done for the
wrong reasons.

But hey, I suppose thatrCOs better than not seeing them done at all ...

I think itrCOs fair to say, most Jews -- certainly most of those outside Israel -- are not Zionists. A lot of them explicitly reject any claim that Israel tries to make that it speaks for them.

You see Jews participating in those demonstrations, too. And you would
expect that ultra-orthodox lot to be among the most rabidly Zionist,
but a lot of them are not.
