It is always a good idea to check on the stats. The Maori life expectancy
has gone up 3.1 years between 2005-2007 and 2022-2024 and "Across all ethnic groups, male life expectancy has increased faster than for females."

One has to ask if Covid played a part in theses figures, or whether that
might be still to come. Nevertheless these figures show that we are on the right track.
