I understand your hesitation, but all I can say is I installed the updates
on all my devices and all is good.

I don't -- this is comp.sys.mac.system

Technically you could test iOS on a VM, but you'd need to find a
properly working iPhone emulator. There are a few around, but I don't
know how good or bad any of them are.

I cross-posted the original message because I upgraded both an iPad and a Mac. I didnrCOt mean to cause any confusion.

There was no confusion, except for those who didn't see the newsgoups
it was posted to and then someone took the iPhone newsgroup out again.

BTW, there is a separate iPad newsgroup: comp.mobile.ipad

Over here I updated an iPhone SE2, an iPad Air 2022 and a MacBook Air M2 to
OS 26 and everything is working fine.
