The volume-up button on my 2019 iPad Gen 7 has stopped working. It seems
to be stuck. At 3:30 pm on Oct 8 I have an Apple Store appointment to
have it looked at. It's covered by AppleCare +. I'll let you know the
    result.

The result - as we all know - will be that it is fixed for free.

AppleCare + is not free. For no additional charge. This plan costs me
only $4/month and it's not the only claim. I dropped it's predecessor
without it's cover on and it would not even boot. Replaced.

But the fix/replacement will be free. I did not say AppleCare is free. There is a difference.

Semantics, I see the subtle difference.
