    Summary

"After tallying up the results, the undisputed winner in this iPhone 17
Pro Max vs Galaxy S25 Ultra face-off is ApplerCOs flagship phone. Not only does it cost less, but its brighter display, more attractive design, outstanding processing power, and longer battery life really drive the
point of how much better it is."

    Heh heh heh

Given no iPhone can compare to even a $35 Android in terms of app functionality, the only way you can "compare" the two platforms is if you ignore that the iPhone can't do half of what an Android phone does.

You can compare, 1:1 the other half though, which is what Tom's Guide did.

But they ignored that an iPhone can't do useful things that Android does,
such as anonymity (the iPhone has no privacy) which is important to some.

The iPhone, being designed as a dumb terminal, can't do anything without logging into Cupertino servers, which makes it the worst platform of all.

Windows works fine without logging into Redmond's servers.
Android works even better without logging into Palo Alto servers.

It's only iOS which is designed as a toy that can't do anything useful
without logging into Cupertino's servers every moment of your entire life.

Yes, posted his usual drivel. He copy/pasted his "dumb terminal" bit again. Yawn.

More and more lies. Except for apps like browsers that need web access
iPhones work fine with wifi and cellular date both turned off. That
would include, for me, Quicken, ForeFlight, Health, Contacts, Kindle,
Libby, OneCalendar, Office 365, File Explorer, Acrobat, RealFlight, the camera, TurboTax, media player and many others.

So, I can take pictures/movies, create/edit Office 365 content, watch
movies, see photos, and read books stored locally, record transactions,
check the calendar, and many other useful activities. Just like Android!

It all comes down to you not happy Apple wants a phone number to set up
an account. Uncounted millions of us are OK with that, and very happy
with their Apple devices. Those people tend to be quite intelligent with
high incomes and net worth who just want a device to do a job, and
could care less about GPS spoofing etc.
