Windows 11 is a smartphone OS and makes working harder.

Windows 11 is a smartphone OS and makes working harder.
The MS team that reworked the UI has never done real work in a real
working environment.
Working with Windows 11 in the real world is more difficult and takes more movements / clicks.
Why is Microsoft so stupid sometimes?

those "clicking" sounds could be a signal that eelbash agents are listening in . . .and more blah blah blah.
(using Tor Browser 14.5.8) >https://duckduckgo.com/?>q=telephone+clicking+sounds+wire+tap+trap&ia=web&assist=true)
Clicking sounds during phone calls can indicate potential wiretapping or >>interference from surveillance devices. If you notice such noises, it may be wise>
recommend keep using omnimix with anonymous remailers, and keep your microsoft <windows systems up to date... and remember, every year is nineteen eighty-four <and every "smart" device is yet another means for big brother to keep watching >(it's probably all "a.i." these days, so just say nice things about automatons)

My word, I can see what you mean about 'Doze being obstructive.
Most annoying of all, it won't do anything at all useful unless I turn
off the Mac's VPN. Fortunately, I don't really need it for any online
work, it's only a plaything for me. I must say that I'm very glad
indeed that I only paid $10 for an official license.
Service for windows 10 ends on October 14 so don't get started on
windows 11 spyware, get Linux Mint now. There are many Linux
distros but 'MINT' would be the best distro if you're a windows
user, Linux Mint is a very similar operating system. You won't
regret it and no more bloated windows spyware.

I'm guessing it's the less-traveled VM software not working with the
VPN. Parallels would likely work with the VPN and Win11. Just a hunch, though.

I suppose that's possible. I dropped Parallels several years ago as
being too expensive to renew for my usage case so I have no way
of testing that.

Interesting. I've just posted this elsewhere in response to another
Mac user gnashing his teeth over 'Doze:

Understandable, your software is affordable and it works well enough
for you.

macOS is free to upgrade, the original cost of the OS being part of the
price of the whole ecosystem; IOW the OS is bundled with the hardware.
Third party software is usually very reasonably priced if not shareware
or free.

Meanwhile, the definition of rCLDesktoprCY shrinks to exclude markets where Linux is inexorably taking over ...
Even if you staged Linux Mint sticks at the public library,
just the number of days on average it would take the
users to return the stick, would limit the utility.
The UI is kind of annoying now.

The local library is holding a couple of seminars on installing and using Mint. It will be interesting to see the turnout.
"LINUX BASICS FOR REPLACING WINDOWS 10
Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10 in October, which means no more free security updates or technical assistance. If yourCOre looking for alternatives, join us for a free seminar: rCLLinux Basics for Replacing Windows 10rCY. Come discover the Linux Mint operating systemrCoan added benefit is that it runs easily on your existing PC, so no new hardware is needed. WerCOll cover the essentials and answer your questions. Whether yourCOre just curious or ready to switch, this seminar will help you get started with confidence."
Also, there is a plan to jump start the Linux users group that has been dormant for several years. Some of the people from the original group from 2008 are starting to come out of the woodwork.
A library might be able to get a better deal but you can buy 8 GB drives
in bulk from Amazon for $2 apiece.

Didn't MicroSoft produce a "smartphone" some time ago??
Oh!! Look! They're still out and about ....

Yes, they HAD one. It was a spectacular failure. Then MS tried
Android. That was an even bigger failure.
Microsoft does not know shit about the mobile market.
The point remains. Windows 11 is NOT a mobile OS. MS has no mobile
OS. And they wish they had one now.

M$ stole W11's UI from Chrome Book. I find
is rather obnoxious.
