    Claas, we all know that restricted access to free software is great news
    for fascists like you. But that step may chase software developers away
    from Google towards open platforms like F-Droid, and there are many like
    me who value privacy and therefore don't accept any spying Google app on
    their secure device running a free alternative Android Operating System.

    Ironically, the malware would just move on to the Play Store, which itself
    is the biggest malware, adware, and crapware repository for the ecosystem. Google need not give two fucks about it, as long as it happens on *their* platform, and they get the sweet 30% sales cut + analytics data.

    R.I.P. F-Droid, though. I've always installed it on my Android phones,
    even those connected and synced to Google systems, just to install a
    handful of really useful programs that made the Android experience so much better.
