    Late night TV shows generally have pretty low ratings. The rating is
    the percentage of all TV sets tuned to the program, regardless of
    whether or not it is switched on. The share is the percentage of TV
    sets *that are on* that are tuned to a program. Most people don't stay
    up and watch programs that come on at 11:30pm, so ratings are
    typically low. I can see that Kimmel's share of TVs that are on might
    be pretty good.

    TVs in hotel bars and airport lobbies have real live people watching
    Kimmel?

    What resonably intelligent non-impaired person would waste their time
    doing so? Even admit doing so?
