Here is a link showing actual examples of Xlibre in action.
Note that the first in the list is Gentoo:
https://github.com/orgs/X11Libre/discussions/211
Thus, Xlibre seems to function well even at this early atage
and it will only get better.
Unfortunately, I cannot install yet on my Gentoo machines because
all use Nvidia.

As Xlibre is only a fork I hope the early stage should be exactly the
way it worked "correctly" before the fork.

Yep. Exactly. So your magnificent Gentoo provides you with something unworkable.
The Xlibre has been created not because people on X11 community wanted
it to crash or were jealous of his work. It has been created because the
only one guy behind it didn't care about what happens on other computers.
And the very fact that the fork doesn't work on your computer is the
proof that he doesn't car about your computer.
If you want things to improve, you have only two options.
When you criticize Lennart telling that he never care about others.
Which is a lie because from the start, he always took care of systemd
being able to run SysV init scripts to help the transition.
It took me well more time for me to explain why you are wrong than to
you to spread your stupidity.

Xlibre needs a programmer to integrate with NVIDIA. Better
get cracking on that.
