Annual Totals u Total Value of AustraliaAs Residential Dwellings
The ABS publishes quarterly estimates of AustraliaAs Total Value of
Dwelling Stock (TVDS). To capture annual totals, we can use the March
quarter values each year. Here's how the figures look, based on the
    ABS data:

Year (March Quarter) Total Value (A$ billion)
    2021 ~8,293
    2022 ~10,200
    2024 ~11,000 (Dec 2024 y annual)
    2025 ~11,366

    2021 u March quarter total y A$8.29 trillion
    Australian Bureau of Statistics

    2022 u March quarter total y A$10.2 trillion
    Australian Bureau of Statistics

    2024 u December quarter (approximate year-end figure) y A$11.0
    trillion
    Australian Bureau of Statistics
    Herald Sun

    2025 u March quarter total y A$11.366 trillion

Presumably these are figures for the bricks and sticks sitting on the
    blocks.

    All are WASTING assets.

The land lasts forever, but the structures wear out and always need repair/replacement. Also, it's a question of degree, just how can
the structures bear the prices. If factories occupied the land then
these would be productive. Houses are dead weight.

    And $11 trillion? Bit much!

That's for sure. Yet in the recent past the sheeple were flogged land
in such areas, and in fire-prone areas as well. And we poor (lately
poorer) taxpayer had to pay to "bail" them out. Even now, as we
speak, insurance premiums have rocketed, and it's all their fault.

Why are sheeple paying these ridiculous prices. Why are they not
shacking up with their in laws; like the good old days?

    Try that again in english

With all the tax lurks built in I'll betcha.
