I want to save a windoze10 ISO to a USB stick as a file to move it, but windows won't let me. why is that? does anyone know? I get a message
saying the drive is not large enough but at 32 gb, it clearly is. tried
    a couple of USB's. (they're formatted FAT32)

exFAT is fine with files over 4GB. Linux exFAT drivers work better

The maximum file size for exFAT is 16 exabytes (EB), but the practical
limit due to hardware and OS constraints is 128 petabytes (PB). While
the theoretical limit is extremely large, the practical limit is more
    relevant for real-world usage.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Theoretical Maximum: 16 exabytes (16 billion gigabytes).

Practical Maximum: 128 petabytes (128,000 terabytes).

Why the difference? Operating systems and hardware limitations on
storage devices create a practical ceiling on how large a file can be,
even if the file system itself theoretically supports much larger sizes.

What is exFAT used for? exFAT is a file system designed for flash
storage like USB drives and SD cards, and it's often used when
compatibility with various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) is needed.

Advantages over FAT32: exFAT addresses FAT32's limitation of a maximum
4GB file size, making it suitable for large files like high-resolution
    videos or large game files.

You should be able to use 2 USB's one FAT32 the other NFTS

Dont need to do anything like that

NTS will. exFAT depends on wether your linux supports that

    It does.

    Not all linuxes do

Your super high speed typing on google tell you that.

    Nope, dope

I just checked. think I will format a USB stick in exFAT then for
transferring large files from win to Linux, and vice versa.

In what way can M$ kiss your ass? whether you are running windows
native or in a Linux Virtualbox, it's still M$.

I need it to run some software and my 20 year old Canon
Fax/Printer/Scanner that still works perfectly, as there's no Linux
    printer driver for it
