    WTF?

These fuckwits don't want to pay taxes, hate the police, the government
    and the normal societal rules.

I assume, however, that they want to drive on taxpayer funded roads, use Australian money for purchasing goods and services, use our health
    system, etc, etc.

Let's round the whole lot up, stick 'em somewhere in the middle of the country, build a fucking big wall around them and let them sort
    themselves out.

    Fuck me.

Pretty sad events in northern Vic yesterday but does it really matter
    what they call themselves?
There always has and always will be some crazy people on this planet, we
used to lock them up in asylums but now we just let them loose on
society, in this case the Vic Govt has no money for mental health
programs because it spent a huge amount of taxpayer money on its pet
projects to line the pockets of its union bosses.
The world is so fucked up that in some countries the crazy people are
running the show, Israel and the USA are prime examples of the lunatics
being put in charge of the asylum.

Yep. Not to forget the Feds who simply cannot enforce our borders,
cannot search anymore than 2% of shipping containers, all these
wonderful pests and diseases like Fire Ants, Varoa mites, France's calesievirus (which is incurable), mop top potato disease, and so many
other new pests and diseases that have arrived here in the last 5 years
or so. And the drugs that are flowing into Aus at record levels, with
    usage increasing as well...

I find it interesting that someone who has publicly called Vic Police "terrorist thugs" still had access to "We believe he has long arms,
powerful firearms, multiple firearms," Commissioner Bush said.
Apparently the 10 police that rocked up to arrest him were planing to
remove his guns, as well as serve him with a warrant for some old sex crimes...

I feel another baseless witch-hunt will be on the cards to remove more firearms from law abiding firearms owners, using this as justification.
It will be interesting to see if the perp is actually licensed, and what
guns he actually had.. I guess he is, but why he still had guns after
the shit he's been in is beyond me. I know of people who've had their
guns confiscated because one gun wasnt in it's storage area. It was
locked up in a safe elsewhere, but Mr Plod just used it to take all.

The world is so fucked up that in some countries the crazy people are running the show, Israel and the USA are prime examples of the lunatics being put in charge of the asylum.

Dan Andrews and his clone, Cint the Bint, are perfect examples.
Sometimes I think the politicians we have running/ruining the show are
the greatest cause of shit like "sovereign citizens". If they weren't so fucking inept... Jacinta's $13 million machette bins for example...
    Amazing.

Oh, you mean delusionists, hypocrites and liars, yeah, gotcha. Just like Darren!

BTW, the Vic government that cut down funding to mental health, and
closed asylums, was none other than Jeff Kennett.

They don't ever pay rego or rates. In isolation they are just nutjobs

100%. Another thing imported from the US and largely enabled under it's various names that broadly fall under the "sovereign citizen" umbrella

You really don't understand the sovereign citizen movement at all. These people are nuts and don't believe in any rules or regulations and it has nothing to do with age.
These people do not deserve any kind of validation.

we used to lock them up in asylums but now we just let them loose on
society, in this case the Vic Govt has no money for mental health
programs because it spent a huge amount of taxpayer money on its pet
projects to line the pockets of its union bosses.

Yep. Not to forget the Feds who simply cannot enforce our borders,
cannot search anymore than 2% of shipping containers, all these
wonderful pests and diseases like Fire Ants, Varoa mites,-a France's
calesievirus (which is incurable), mop top potato disease, and so many
other new pests and diseases that have arrived here in the last 5 years
or so. And the drugs that are flowing into Aus at record levels, with
    usage increasing as well...

I find it interesting that someone who has publicly called Vic Police
"terrorist thugs" still had access to "We believe he has long arms,
powerful firearms, multiple firearms," Commissioner Bush said.
Apparently the 10 police that rocked up to arrest him were planing to
remove his guns, as well as serve-a him with a warrant for some old sex
    crimes...

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this nutter had been planning this for
a while, and has a secret hideout filled with weapons where he's lying
in wait to nail a whole bunch of cops.
I feel another baseless witch-hunt will be on the cards to remove more
firearms from law abiding firearms owners, using this as justification.

The world is so fucked up that in some countries the crazy people are
running the show, Israel and the USA are prime examples of the
lunatics being put in charge of the asylum.

Dan Andrews and his clone, Cint the Bint, are perfect examples.
Sometimes I think the politicians we have running/ruining the show are
the greatest cause of shit like "sovereign citizens". If they weren't so
fucking inept... Jacinta's $13 million machette bins for example...
    Amazing.

    They're fucking retarded.

I had to get taken to Sunshine hospital in an ambulance a month ago at around 5pm on a Tuesday, and when we arrived there was already 15
ambulances ramped outside. I stayed for a while and then eventually went home as I wasn't dying that night and took things up with my own doctors
the next day, and at 3am the hospital rang looking for me as a doctor
    was available to see me.

You wish evil upon others, donrCOt complain when evil manifests itself upon you. ItrCOs Karma!

The system is fucked. As is the education system. As is the Police & emergency services. Yet we need to spend 35 billion (assuming it comes
in on budget which will be a first) on a train line that will benefit a *minute* portion of the community and be lucky if it returns 10 cents on
    the dollar.

The Victorian heath and education systems were wrecked by your mate Jeff Kennett. Take it up with him!

The problems for the Libs is that they are fast-tracking their way to irrelevance by pandering to an ever shrinking demographic - the small
    minded elderly baby boomer.

It's increasingly gifting Labor victory at state and federal level and
    that is bad for democracy.

Still, it could be worse - and see a massive swing towards the Greens -
now _that_ would be a disaster.

It remains to be seen. There is still a great deal of internal
infighting going on, and Battin doesn't have the respect of some within

    ROTFL :)

Why don't you just come out and say that you have no idea about
Victorian politics? That would be easier :)
It's increasingly gifting Labor victory at state and federal level and
    that is bad for democracy.

Moreover it's bad for the state's financial position. We have insane
debt levels which are the result of Labor's staggering inability to
enter into contract negotiations with private industry that are even *remotely* favourable, and thanks to their long standing alliance with criminal organisations such as the CFMEU we have works projected that
are running upwards of 40 billion dollars over budget.

Did you get that? 40 *billion*.

That's 40 billion that's *not* going into the health or education
systems, or emergency services which are all teetering on the brink of collapse.

It's not all doom and gloom though. CFMEU have made sure their members
are okay, with even the lowest ranked earning staggering wages :)

Still, it could be worse - and see a massive swing towards the Greens -
now _that_ would be a disaster.
It would indeed. Almost as bad as Labor being re-elected in fact.

A *lot* of rusted on Labor supporters are turning away from them in Vic, because they're being hurt right where they don't need to be at the
moment, and that's in the hip pocket. Many people are finding things
tough enough without Labor making things worse, and I think more than
anything they're sick to fucking death at their continued inaction on
things like hospital wait times and crime rates.

Things are out of control here at the moment, and all Jacinta Allen does
    is deny anything is happening....

Only people I know that are pro Labor are CFMEU

for voting Labor, trouble is its at the expense of the rest of us who
    aren't union members.

It's precisely why *every* major works program in the state is massively
over budget. The Unions take control thanks to Labor giving them the
power to do so, and they just fuck everything up making the forecast
    costings totally unachievable.

The state is currently averaging cost overruns of around 10 billion a
year, with debt at a staggering level. The gross debt is currently
hovering around 220 billion, and if the planned suburban rail loop goes
ahead it will push us towards a dept level of close to 300 billion which
for a state with a population of 7 million is completely unserviceable.

Interest payments alone are more than 21 million dollars a *day*.

We are riding the fast train to financial ruin, and all this stupid cunt
of a thing Allen can think of doing is spending *more* money on projects
that less than 1% of the population will benefit from, will be lucky to
return 5 cents in the dollar and will not be paid off in the lives of
    anyone living today.

    small minded elderly baby boomer.

    ROTFL :)

Why don't you just come out and say that you have no idea about
Victorian politics? That would be easier :)

At the last Fed election our Liberal candidate was a young woman and
most of the people handing out Liberal how to vote cards were
relatively young, the older people were handing out the Labor cards so
quite the opposite to what Clocky said in this electorate.

As usual he has no idea what he's talking about, but then he's a card carrying Labor supporter so you can't expect anything less.

I still laugh when I think back about him claiming that Kevin Rudd's
idea of giving everyone a 900 buck "plasma TV bonus" was a perfect
example of "sound financial management" :)

The bloke who gave me the CLK isn't old, hard to tell his age because
he has a beard but I guess he would be around 50.When the subject of
politics comes up everyone I speak to is not so much
pro Liberal but always anti Labor and those people are of all ages,
not just those around my age.

A *lot* of rusted on Labor supporters are turning away from them in Vic, because they're being hurt right where they don't need to be at the
moment, and that's in the hip pocket. Many people are finding things
tough enough without Labor making things worse, and I think more than anything they're sick to fucking death at their continued inaction on
things like hospital wait times and crime rates.

Things are out of control here at the moment, and all Jacinta Allen does
    is deny anything is happening....

Only people I know that are pro Labor are CFMEU members and their
immediate families who get paid obscene amounts.Mates son is a foreman
rigger for a company that erects steel for big buildings, AFAIK he is
making in excess of $250k PA so I can't blame him for voting Labor,
trouble is its at the expense of the rest of us who aren't union members.

It's precisely why *every* major works program in the state is massively over budget. The Unions take control thanks to Labor giving them the
power to do so, and they just fuck everything up making the forecast costings totally unachievable.

The state is currently averaging cost overruns of around 10 billion a
year, with debt at a staggering level. The gross debt is currently
hovering around 220 billion, and if the planned suburban rail loop goes ahead it will push us towards a dept level of close to 300 billion which
for a state with a population of 7 million is completely unserviceable.

Interest payments alone are more than 21 million dollars a *day*.

We are riding the fast train to financial ruin, and all this stupid cunt
of a thing Allen can think of doing is spending *more* money on projects that less than 1% of the population will benefit from, will be lucky to return 5 cents in the dollar and will not be paid off in the lives of
    anyone living today.

Its not unusual for big infrastructure projects to take a very long time
to pay off but IMO what's making it far worse right now is that Vic
Labor decided that every major project needed to be done at the same
time, with the exception of the suburban rail loop the other projects
have some merit but they should have been spread out over a much longer
time period to lessen the strain on the economy.

    Labor in power.

Typically they often have some good ideas but generally they have no
idea how to manage them.Very likely the cycle will repeat, Labor spends
up big amassing huge debts, the Libs will then get voted in to clean up
the mess but then the voters will get tired of the lack of spending then
vote Labor back in, seems to be a typical pattern.

It would indeed. Almost as bad as Labor being re-elected in fact.

The Libs have never addressed the problems you're attributing to Labor

    There are priorities to consider.

Removing level crossings in the grand scheme is not a bad idea, but it's
not a priority. Fixing the hospital and school system is, however. There
is something majorly wrong with the system if some poor guy dies on his
lounge room floor as his wife gets told on the phone that his chest
pains are not serious enough and an Ambulance isn't coming, or another
guy bleeds to death on the floor of his kitchen after falling over and
hitting his head after he called an ambulance and it arrived 4 hours
later. These things both happened in the last 12 months, and they're not isolated incidents.

On the education side, I can speak with direct experience.

My kid is doing year 12 in Bacchus. An important year for anyone looking
to go to uni next year as he his. He has 30 hours of classes a week, and
on any given week he has around 10 hours (sometimes more, but rarely
less) of classes with no teachers. It's not a curriculum thing, but a
shortage of teaching staff. There are no teachers, no substitute
teachers, no temporary teachers or teachers aids, no one to set out
curriculum work or study projects, nothing. On any given day he has a
couple of hours of sitting in a room twiddling his thumbs because there
is no one to take the class and no one to set out work for the students.

Teachers are leaving the system in droves, and the schools can't get replacements and this is primarily because the school system is under
funded and existing teachers are finding the workload to be increasingly ridiculous.

There are more examples of budget cuts and shortages that affect many
people, such as Victoria Police currently being 1100 uniformed members
short of where they need to be, for example. Vicroads budget for road
repairs being slashed by *95%* in the last financial year. Scheduled replacement of fire trucks being put on hold. Ambulance ramping at
    public hospitals Etc, etc.

The list is endless, and in many cases these are high priority targets
that should be funded immediately, but their problem is that they're not
major vote winners so they get a back seat.

Agree that putting the basics on hold so they can build their pet

    Yep. It's fucked.

This was Sunshine hospital on the 15th of last month:

    https://ibb.co/7JD9t2Zk

This is the entrance foyer for the Ambulance crews. There were another 4 patients to my left, 8 around the corner in a room which is the normal
waiting area, and 8 up a hallway which leads to the front desk at the
main public entrance where I eventually got moved to to "make room".

This was Tuesday night at 7pm, and as can be seen they are so swamped
for room that they gave 4 triage nurses on portable equipment in the
doorway to deal with the incoming patients.

But if you listen to Jacinta Allen she'll brag about turning a sod at

    we need fucking *air* :)

My former neighbors daughter is AFAIK in one of the nurses in charge
of the Sunshine Hospital emergency dept so if you meet a tall blonde
nurse about 40 named Kate say hi for me:-)

I *really* don't want to go near the place ever again, but if I do I'll mention your name and see if it helps get preferential treatment :)

Ring roads and ring rail are absolute necessities in a sprawling city
like Melbourne. You need to get real, not everyone wants to go to the
city but many live on one side and work on the other so the radial
public transport system forces people into cars and their only option is
to go through the city. Try funnelling down the Eastern Freeway in the morning, you can't get through because of the banked up cars getting off
at every exit. Been there, done that, through traffic hasn't a chance.

Nothing astonishes Noddy so much as common sense and plain dealing.

But if you listen to Jacinta Allen she'll brag about turning a sod at
the Melton hospital site and tell you that the system is fine and

She is as fucked up deluded as Donald Trump.

She is completely off with the fairy's, I haven't been past the Melton
Hospital site for quite a while but AFAIK its still just a vacant
paddock despite their claim at the last election almost 3 yrs ago that
    construction had already started.

The only thing that has "started" is temporary building site fencing to
make it *look* like construction is underway. Fuck only knows when
building works will actually commence, and while the project is set to
be completed in 2029 I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't make that
target date. Nor would I be at all surprised if it massively blows it's budget, or is completely outdated and under equipped by the time it
    *does* eventually open.
