    omnimix tutorial: <https://www.danner-net.de/omom/>

Already read that and nothing there of use. After changing servers, I unsubscribed from my NG's (in TB) then resubscribed. Solved.

OmniMix doesn't download anything, your news client does the downloading.

What are you using for a client? This message was read from Neodome via OmniMix using Thunderbird, replied to and sent via the OmniMix random remailers. Very easy.

The Hamster nym reply repository is filled from Hamster > ExtSvr > Host.
News clients connected with OM get their data from News > Host or the
server transmitted with the extended username.

OmniMix doesn't do that, your news client does the downloading unless

I just figured out how to do this using Xnews. Didn't know you could do
this. I added Neodome to OmniMix but it kept saying the connection had to
be encrypted. After some searching I changed the port on the Neodome
settings to 563 and it's working.

I know what Hamster is and I don't want to deal with the space limitations
it has. I just added Neodome over Mixmin because the latter is down and I needed an alternate news server. Works good so far and Mixmin is still
there as an option should it come back up.

Hamster is only needed to store a.a.m postings for nym mail retrieval.

For normal news server interaction through Tor with anonymous posting
OM as a transparent NNTP proxy server is sufficient.
