    With great joy I am happy to announce the birth of **Onion-Newsreader**.
    *ON* is a usenet web client totally in onion network.

    <snip>

    This is neat.

    Can it be run on a clearnet server behind NGINX on a normal IANA domain? Or is it designed to only run on the Onion Network?

    Does it work as an authenticated client with a specified NNTP server? How does it connect to the NNTP server?

    An https/onion server as http proxy on a clearnet localhost instance of ON.
    It has not authentication and it connects to news tcpreset net onion address nntp server.
