Donald Trump said Saturday he had directed Secretary of War
Pete Hegseth to use 'all available funds' to make sure that
US troops are paid on October 15 despite the ongoing
'radical left' government shutdown.
The US president's vow arrived on the 11th day of the
government shutdown - and just days before troops were
in danger of not receiving their next paychecks Wednesday.
Trump wrote on Truth Social: 'We have identified funds
to do this, and Secretary Hegseth will use them to
PAY OUR TROOPS.
'I will not allow the Democrats to hold our Military, and
the entire Security of our Nation, HOSTAGE, with their
dangerous Government Shutdown.'
