Tennessee bomb factory that exploded and killed multiple people
last blew up just 11 years ago

The massive explosion at a Tennessee bomb factory, which is
believed to have killed multiple people, experienced a similar
tragedy occurred near property in 2014.

A blast went off at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant in
Bucksnort, about an hour south of Nashville, around 7.50am
    local time today.

Eleven years ago, an explosion happened at the Rio Ammunition
in McEwen, about 55 miles west of Nashville.

An investigation by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
ExplosivesrCO National Response Team determined that it was
accidental and that the blast happened during companyrCOs
    cartridge loading operations.

Multiple fatalities have been confirmed, although the number
is not currently known. At least 19 employees currently
    remain unaccounted for.

    . . .

UNclear if "Accurate" and "McEwen" are related, despite
    the article title.

In any case, this company made explosives and gunpowder
and maybe finished warheads mostly for military/govt
use. The 19 "missing", sounds like "vaporized" ...

Fortunately the facility was a bit 'out in the woods'
and damages were thus mostly isolated to its property.

We are reminded of the Morton Thiokol explosion a
couple decades ago when two huge warehouses full
of solid rocket fuel detonated - looked like an
atomic blast. Again though, it was on a fairly
isolated bit of property. A similar incident in
Beirut Lebanon though - right in the middle of the
city port facility ..... so, clue folks, keep large
stocks of explosives OUT of town.
