Donald Trump has declared war on drug cartels and notified
Congress that the United States is now in a 'non-international
armed conflict.' The extraordinary escalation by the president
follows a series of recent strikes on drug-smuggling vessels
operated by 'terrorist organizations' in the Caribbean.
. . .
Expect military strikes inside Venezuela, MAYbe Mexico.
Maduro is fully part of it ... Mexico, different, but
the 'government' is so corrupted/terrified by the cartels
that it can't DO anything.
This IS rude - but it may be our only answer to the
now all-powerful crime cartels. They've become the
image of a hostile nation-state.
Joe should have done it ... but it falls to Trump
to actually do it. Busting the cartels is a GOOD
thing all in all, even if it's a bit ugly. It will
improve US security and quality-of-life. The
meso-American countries CAN'T deal with the cartels,
it's all gone way too far.
"Maduro" ... actually I kinda like "maduro"
cigars from time to time (NOT cheap BTW).
Punch double-maduro ... super nice ! The word
basically means "dark". Alas that def also
describes the Venez prez perfectly ....

A close friend of mine works for a very large US company that has a presence in Mexico and she has to travel there frequently.
When she was first asked to travel she expressed concern about her safety. The company assured her that she was 100% safe and protected.
Upon arrival she quickly learned that the cartels were paid off by this American company to protect their offices and plant.
So the place was totally secure and well known to be off limits for attacks.
In reality it was probably safer than the typical federal office building in the USA.
So yea, at least Mexico is corrupt and owned by the cartels.
The politicians and leaders are pawns.
As for Trump going into other countries and taking out suspected cartel members I
disagree with that strategy.
Better to track them and when they enter US waters blow them up to kingdom come.
Let God sort them all out.
The drug cartels have totally taken over meso-America.
Nobody DARES do anything about it - they'll kill you,
your fam, even yer little dog.

Knowing this, you would still deny asylum to those desperate to get
away?
