• Computer icon in panel

no doubt I'm 'selling coals to Newcastle' posting this, but I wanted to
have the Computer icon in the panel, but couldn't see a way to do it,
but since I have the Home folder in the panel, I added the Computer icon
to it's toolbar. Now the computer folder is just one extra click away.-a :)

What is a "computer icon"? A image of a computer? A link to root?

I just started up Dolphin, and in its main list at the left, the top two
items are rCLHomerCY (the root directory of your user area) and rCLRootrCY (the
root directory of your entire system). Presumably one of those is what yourCOre looking for.

I imagine other file managers are similar.

Either look at the options for configuring that file manager, or try a different one.

In settings -> desktop there are slide switches to add icons on the desktop. Computer
and home are two of them. Is this what you are looking for?

answered your question in reply to my original post. you asked..

    " What is a "computer icon"?-a-a A image of a computer?-a-a A link to root? "

I did read them and the simple answer became some complex, mixed up, group of stats/info.
    Seriously I got lost.

It can be helpful to ignore postings that donrCOt concern you. That also
helps with the signal-to-noise ratio in the group.
