    July 3, 2025 was a Thurs, but March 7 was a Friday.

    B. This story was all over the news and sports yesterday and today, with >mention of upcoming funeral. Not a 3 month old news story.

To a first reading, it looks like Bob was contesting the facts, and arguing that the deaths did, indeed, occur 3 months ago. That was also my take,
until I realized that wasn't his intent. Rather, he was just nitpicking
the date notation - arguing that July 3 should be written 3/7 rather than 7/3.

See my previous response for why he is wrong about this.

This is the GOP's problem. When you're at the beginning of the year
and you've got nine Democrats running for the nomination, maybe one or
two of them are Dennis Kucinich. When you have nine Republicans, seven
or eight of them are Michelle Bachmann.

    Thanks for the clarification, Kenny.

    Thanks for the clarification, Kenny.

For what it's worth, I found six articles from bob.martin@excite.com,
four of which were pedantic complaints about how the regulars on this
group posted. The other two articles weren't off topic but barely above
    noise.

I do not see that he's ever posted an obituary.

Clearly, his main contribution to Usenet is trolling. If readers kill
filed him, they'd be missing nothing of interest.
