McDonald's Launches 'Big Arch' Burger in Major Market. Is It the New
Big Mac?
The burger was unveiled with a massive marketing campaign.
Anne BucherJun 19, 2025 6:00 AM EDT
That's the name of the oversized burger the chain launched with great
fanfare on June 18 in the United Kingdom. Some think the mega burger
could be headed to the U.S. soon.
Reviews were mixed, although some believe the Big Arch could end up
rivaling the Big Mac.
"The Big Arch burger is what a Big Mac once was," one man wrote on X.
Another person called it a "new restyled Big Mac."
Although the burger was first rolled out in more limited fashion as a
pilot program in 2023, McDonald's just gave it a major, sweeping
public relations-fueled rollout in the UK.
But not everyone was a fan. "What an absolutely disastrous
disappointing overpriced burger which quickly turned into a huge pile
of mess. It's certainly big but far too much over powering smokey and
tangy sauce," wrote another X user.
[Even the promotional photo on the McDonald's website shows the sauce
spilling over. -KS]
"The Big Arch is definitely a need for sauce-lovers, as its signature
sauce covers most of the burger. I found the sauce was oozing out of
the burger on each bite and required a fair number of napkins as I
began to see the distinct yellow marking my hands and the table around
me," wrote the Manchester Evening News.

new burger #BigArch
What an absolutely disastrous disappointing overpriced burger which
quickly turned into a huge pile of mess. It's certainly big but far
too much over powering smokey and tangy sauce.
The bun disintegrated within a couple of bites, lettuce, crispy onions
and the Big Arch sauce just covered the burger box and table.
I wanted to take a photo of the mess but my fingers and hands were
absolutely covered in unpleasant sauce.
I would not dare to try and eat this burger in a car unless you want
your seats and floor covered.
Within 10 minutes of eating I felt myself dealing with the most awful
indigestion and needed 2 Toffee Crisp McFlurrys to try to douse the
flames of hell ??
I won't be eating another one.
Well fuck it if the souce is mayo-based which it probably is.
The Big Mac Secret Sauce is mayo-based, moron. And it's delicious.

Since all you eat is fast food and your taste buds have been wrecked,
it comes as no surprise that you can't taste the other eight
ingredients; two 100% beef patties, shredded lettuce, processed
cheddar cheese, pickles, and onions, salt, or pepper all nestled in a >three-part sesame seed bun.

Excuse me, but how does tasting fast-food WRECK one's taste buds'? I could >taste all the other ingredient's JUST FINE before they starting adding a >OBSECENE amount of souce.

Since all you eat is fast food and your taste buds have been wrecked,
Jenny CLAIMS to only eat fast food. But with his NEED to lie,
this may be a lie. I suppose he could scan the receipts from each
place for a week, showing it's very probable he does eat only fast
food. If we see him spending around $40 per visit (no, I wouldn't
expect it to be exactly $40 for every visit -- though that would be
neat to see) for seven consecutive days, it would be reasonable to
accept the rest of the month is the same.
Spending $120 per day ($160 if he gets Fourth Meal from Taco
Bell) is going to wipe out any money he has real fast. Yes, he lives
in his parents' house rent free, so that saves him a lot. No rent, >>utilities, car payment, etc.
But his SSDI money, along with whatever he makes working part
time at whatever it is now (last he claimed, he worked at a grocery
store, but that was a while ago), will get used up real fast.
Just the month of February would see him spend $3,360, without
Fourth Meal. Other months would be even more.
I do honestly hope his mom and/or dad controls his money. And I
hope they don't actually let him spend so much on fast food.
it comes as no surprise that you can't taste the other eight
ingredients; two 100% beef patties, shredded lettuce, processed
cheddar cheese, pickles, and onions, salt, or pepper all nestled in a >>>three-part sesame seed bun.
I wonder if, when he does eat, he takes the time to actually
taste the food. I can envision him jamming something in his mouth, and >>swallowing it, largely unchewed, without the requisite time necessary
to actually taste the food.
No, I have never said that.
I have many time's
in fact discussed OTHER food
I have tasted,
but I don't do it often becouse
it is OFF TOPIC. Perhaps
your brain isn't advanced enough to understand that.
