Firefox 115.15 there is the View menu which gives one the option of
Enter Reader View. [...] I'm wondering if the newer Firefox versions
still have this choice.

Yes, F9 keyboard shortcut, or the [=] icon in address bar.

Is F9 the shortcut in Windows for reader view?
It doesn't work in Linux Mint; it's Ctrl-Alt-R. If I try Fn-F9 I get increased screen brightness on my laptop.Fn-F9 on win11 takes me to Windows Settings

In my Firefox 115.15 there is the View menu which gives one the option
of Enter Reader View. This opens the page content without all the other
crap which now normally fills a Web page. It shows only the article and
its pics. I'm wondering if the newer Firefox versions still have this
choice.

In my FF143 the icon for Reader View appears automatically in the url
bar but not all sites have that option.

as the full screen option.-a-a If this is what you are trying to do, you
can access it using F11, or
customize the tool bar and drag the double headed arrow to the tool bar.
Once on the tool bar all you have to do is click it to move from full
screen to window.-a-a Full screen expands the Firefox window to take up
the monitor screen and removes all tool bars except the basic on.
I don't know what the reader view is, BUT it seems to be what I think of
as the full screen option.

It's not full-screen, it's a view with less "clutter" (here clutter may >include garish colours, multiple fonts, unnecessary images, adverts).

Has nothing ot do with full screen option. Going full screen just
magnifies all the crap on a page.

Don't believe everything you read on clickbait websites or in
newsgroups. Some people are always looking for something to complain
about. Always carry out your own testing before jumping to any firm >conclusions.

That is not the Reader View of that page. It's the normal page with all
the junk showing.
The complaints in the Windows 10 or 11 groups are endless. The forums
are the same. The last MS OS that was best for the average non-tech
user was XP. Unfortunately, my XP machine expired a few months back.

You can always install XP on a virtual machine. I have that, since XP
seems a good platform for testing my website with old browsers.
I used to have a lot of problems with updating XP, but no more of those problems since no more updates.
Also, I considered Win 7 (and nothing above that) to be better.
