I like to use private-browsing mode when visiting certain dubious sites.
For the 5,238th time, that DOES NOT hide identifying information about
you. It does a few things, mainly not saving history and cookies. Also,
you specifically authorize add ons in private browsing made.
You may have authorized NoScript in private browsing mode and not
allowing a specific necessary script to run.
When I try this on YouTube, lately I've been getting "Video Unavailable".
I see a brief flash of the actual video thumbnail, before it disappears
and is replaced by this message.
However, I can still use a YouTube downloader to grab the video and play
it locally. So the block is not related to my IP address.
Anybody else seen something like this?
I would reload the page with SHIFT-CTRL-R.
