I'm fully up to date Win10 Pro 22H2 and supposedly it should be there under Windows Update. How else can I enroll?

I don't have an MS account (yet) and I'd rather just pay than create a
login.

but maybe somebody can provide it or you could find it with a search. It was pretty simple to use. This is not a Microsoft program.

I have a suspicion the script does not run any more.
It throws a couple errors. The Windows Update interface
can still have the Enroll tease in the center row of
the interface.

The objective, was to have the "$30" and grab the users MSA,
as part and parcel. It's not like "$30" makes you Anonymous.
They want their track-ability and your "$30" :-) The Settings Backup
is just a cake icing for them.

It is remotely possible, that whatever "fix" they sent out to make the
script fail, is also causing the Enrollment tease to not appear. I think
I have at least one disk, where the Enrollment has not appeared,
even after a Repair Install. I am in the process of bolting that disk
back together :-) Then we will open the oven door, and see whether
the cookies are baked, or the cookies are burned and I will have
to throw them into the kitchen waste bin. My trouble really started
there when I used the Macrium boot repair on a multiboot Windows disk.

If you look into Updates, you will find the ESU update. I didn't have an
MS account, and paid for the update. I'ts done, and now have the ESU situation.
It did cost 32 euro per pc. But I'm satisfied now.

Github shows that the script was updated about 1 day ago to fix an early termination situation. There are also a couple of additional scripts in
the zip that I didn't see before. I downloaded a fresh copy of the
script just now and ran it on a couple of fresh Win 10 VMs,

You don't have a lot of time left.

Make sure you've released your "InControl.exe" setting
for the OS.

Do a Repair Install with a matching ISO you keep for this.

Reboot.

Check Windows Update.

After the Repair Install is done, it will try to reinstall
2025-09 Cumulative. Your Windows Update screen *might*
get the teaser prompt at that point. You need sufficient
space on the disk, for the 20-30GB Windows.old for
this Repair Install to work. It helps if you've done
a Repair Install before, and know what "materials to feed it"
to make it perform like a trained seal.

I've even discovered a Repair Install can put a "good"
WinRE.wim into the Recovery Partition. I've done three
repair installs in the last two days (as part of a
disk reconstruction project). And in all of them,
the reagentc /info is perfect. Just an accidental discovery.

Now on your GPT disk, the newly created partition is a Recovery Partition.
It has an NTFS file system but is otherwise empty. No need to do a
PBR and deposit crap in there. What a relief.

Now, with C: booted, you run Setup.exe off the mounted ISO file
for Win10 22H2 and do a Repair Install. The user gets the best
control over the Repair Install, by disconnecting the network cable.

[One of my Repair Installs, tried to stage a 3GB file before it
would even start unpacking files for the Repair Install. I had to
shoot it like a dog, and roll back the disk using my huge collection
of backups. Next attempt at the Repair Install, network cable
was UNPLUGGED.] Any time one of these goes rogue on you,
you know what to do... :-)

For Win11 on a too-old machine, the Repair install would be
done from my Rufus stick. On Win10, the vanilla ISO file from
Microsoft is perfect for the job. Right-click the ISO and
select Mount (if you have Imgburn installed, the option to
Mount will be removed, with no Imgburn the option to Mount
is at the very top of the context menu). After the virtual DVD
shows up, you can run the Setup.exe and do a Repair Install,
keeping all applications and user data.

After a few reboots and persistent poking at Windows Update,
the Enroll tease may come back. No guarantees, but that's the
best I can do at the moment, as factors affecting this,
I could not figure it out. If you get the "some things
are controlled by your organization", that must have something
to do with it.

That site is up, and it is working.

It is protected by:

1) Browser version check. Use a reasonably up-to-date Firefox for example.
A 78ESR didn't work.

2) Next, it will ask whether you're a CloudFlare bot, a square box
will appear for "a human to click" and then you will enter the site.
Out of date browsers can also tick-off the CloudFlare bot check.

Here, I visit the site using Windows 7 SP1 and FFX 115ESR latest.

You don't have to visit this picture with its excess of advertising,
just the text rules above are sufficient.

Works fine in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox

That site is up, and it is working.

It is protected by:

1) Browser version check. Use a reasonably up-to-date Firefox for example.
A 78ESR didn't work.

SeaMonkey doesn't work(most likely due it base on and earlier FF).

2) Next, it will ask whether you're a CloudFlare bot, a square box
will appear for "a human to click" and then you will enter the site.
Out of date browsers can also tick-off the CloudFlare bot check.

The Cloudfare(You're not a bot check) page may not appear if the site
was previously accessed in Edge or Chrome.

Both my unactivated W10 Pro. got this ESU enrollment option in their WUs
in VirtualBox VM & old 2012 Intel MBP's Bootcamp (dual boot). I was able
to enroll with my old Hotmail.com e-mail address! However, my real PC's activated W10 Pro. still doesn't show it after today's WUs. I wonder if
it's because I used O&O ShutUp 10++ (maybe I need to change a setting to
get it?). All W10 installations are using local accounts.

Ooh, finally got the ESU enrollment offer but it was weird. I have two
admin accounts in my updated W10 Pro PC: Local and MS. Local didn't see
it for awhile. I logged out and switched to rarely used MS account, and
still didn't see it. I logged out and went back to my local admin
account, and whoomp there it is! I rebooted and logged into MS account,
and it is there too. I enrolled with it since I didn't want my always
used local stuffed non-MS account to be used. I only used empty MS
account to activate online with the retail key and to save. I logged out
and went back to my normal local admin account, and the enrollment
option is offered. Shouldn't it (PC) be enrolled?! It seems to be random
and only account based even if it is on the same OS installation? I
guess I will have to update W10 with my MS account. I don't want to sign
into my MS account with my local account. So annoying!!!!!!

There was a suggestion to check gpedit.msc if you're on Pro.
I also turned off my grc.com InControl, but on my broken
machine, nothing is working. The Enroll teaser is present
in the Windows Update window, but the script keeps bombing
on the same two errors. This implies I don't get a biscuit,
unless I perform a trick with an MSA first :-) And you know
the deal with these dog tricks, if you give up an MSA,
the thing will still be broken (of course) :-)

It's like with web sites that promise to process a picture
or a PDF or the like. You upload a file to them (they're "free"),
absolutely nothing happens, except now they got your file, and
you got "nothing in return". Been there and have the stack
of Tshirts.

Just as a kind of followup: if you have received an ESU enrollment
option or used the powershell script, you can tell if it was successful
by going to Settings->Update and Security page and looking about mid
page. If you were successful, there will be a line that says "Your PC
is enrolled to get Extended Security Updates". I used the powershell
method and that's what I got on Windows Pro.

If you maximise that settings page, the confirmation (or perhaps non-confirmation!) is at the top right corner (top of third column,
which may not appear if you don't have the page maximised).

I think it is registered for/with your *computer*, not for your
Microsoft Account. (Think about it: How can Microsoft know which
(normal) updates you need, when you only have a local account? They *do*
know, so this information is stored somewhere else.)

I only have a local account, have use the github script and Windows
Update says I'm enrolled. Time will tell.
