the problem is on my end. Some kind of spam eater that won't let me send.
I will use Thunderbird - it's free and it works ;)

if i ever make enough of name for myself than i can transcend the normal corpo rat-race, i do want to write my own modern web front end for usenet

If you tried to be a fascist you would probably get sued by
mossolini's heirs for copyright infringement. Same as nazism.
But you could if you called yourself something else. At this point,
it seems the strategy for those inclined is to have your own
definition of those ideas which is specifically designed to exclude
what they want to do.
See, I am not a fascist.
It is interesting that new ideas in governance in the past 100 years
or so have been flavors of dictatorship. While denying that they are
any such thing of course in the last 50 or so, especially if they have
only successfully reached the wannabe level of dictatorship.
It does look to me like dictatorial types these days are not inclined
to be political theorists. It takes some intelligence to invent a new political theory and define it in a book.
Getting people to accept you as a new political visionary is not so
hard though. Simply do what I say and things will go well for you.
New ideas lately have been compromises
socialist democracies
dictatorial democracies - hungary, turkey , russia where they still
pretend to have elections, as long as nobody tries to challenge the
big guy.

boy list so Noah had to throw it in there.
El Salvador would have at least been somewhat accurate. But I can
suppose that's not one they want to talk about as he's been so
demonstrably popular and successful with getting crime down.

Things are probably going to get more weird before they get better.
Boomers live in a world interpreted through a filter based on their >formative years, especially age 15 thru 25 or so.
So will you.
But if that guy who wrote The Fourth Turning is right, after the crisis >things will sort of calm down for a while.

It takes some intelligence to invent a new
political theory and define it in a book.
Getting people to accept you as a new political visionary is not so
hard though. Simply do what I say and things will go well for you.
New ideas lately have been compromises
socialist democracies
dictatorial democracies - hungary, turkey , russia where they still
pretend to have elections, as long as nobody tries to challenge the
big guy.
Hungary is not like the others.

Since 2010, the poliltical landscape has been dominated by the Fidesz
party led by viktor orban. Sounds like fake elections to me. But
remaining in power is only the symptom. You could claim there is no
disease if you want.
