The thought used to be that police depend on cooperation of the

entire city in jail. That last is still true. For now.

Apparently, Mayor Mayor Muriel Bowser recently declared a "public safety
emergency" in response to rising crime and said they could use all the
    help they could get

Apparently she did no such thing. But feel free to believe that.

Are you nuts - don't you read a newspaper?

rCLWe know that we have had fewer gun crimes, fewer homicides and we have experienced an extreme reduction in carjackings.rCY - D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser, WaPo, August 28, 2025

There has been a significant fall in overall violent crime since the
crackdown started, according to Washington's Metropolitan Police Department.

Let is know when you have something pertinent to say.

Dirty Harry always knew the good guys from the bad ones.

That's it. All bad guys run down alleys naked with butcher knives.
Hard ons optional. That is all you need to know, mr national guard. >>>>>
You just don't get it. Crime is down in DC. Even the Mayor said the
National Guard has helped. Apparently, you really like to debate but
sometimes you don't even make sense. Where are you getting all your
    information?

    What's with all this whataboutism?

You forget that your numbers are not acceptable.

So, it's all about my numbers? What about Baltimore's numbers? What
    about Chicago?

If I want to know, I will not ask you.

But I do post numbers once in a while among other info. The
difference is that I explicitly do not expect you to believe them, as
I often say. If I forgot to say that some time, let me say it now. I
do not expect you to believe what I post.

You on the other hand, do explicitly expect me to believe what you
