The raid on John BoltonrCOs house came at the direction of FBI Director
Kash Patel, who stated on X that rCLno one is above the law.rCY What?

Apparently, Bolton has been highly critical of TrumprCOs handling of
securing peace in the Russia-Ukraine war. Go figure.

Around the same time as the Mara Lago raid Bolton accused Trump on X of
simply trying to hold meetings with Russia President Putin and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy because he wants a Nobel Peace Prize.

Wait! It's against the law to keep classified documents in your garage

In Bolton's defense, if he did have some secret documents at least he
was using them to write a book. In Trump's case they were just stashed
in a closet or in Biden's garage.

However if you think about it, Bolton was the US Secretary of Defense.
If he didn't have any defense docs, he should have been fired!

Also, if you consider any hard copy of US top security documents as

That's odd. I distinctly remember in my time in the Air Force seeing
top secret documents. Not that I was a general or anybody important.

Think about it: if you got a USAF top secret document, it probably was
NOT top secret US national intelligence. If you found out any really top
secret information, they would have to eliminate you. If Bolton had any,
he would have included them in his book.

Apparently, Trump doesn't even read national intelligence report printouts. >>

As you say, we were taught about that stuff, the clearance levels,
what goes in them, who can see them, what happens if you walk out of a
secure area with one, regardless if you take it home, or the barracks
or anywhere else. There is no higher level than top secret.

It's widely known there are compartmentalized clearances, where only
certain people have access to them. If you're not on the list, you're
    not allowed to see.

True that is why there are levels of classifications, top secret being
the highest. The clearance is not the only requirement though. You
also must have a need to know the information in performance of your
job. I am not going to discuss with you what my job was or why I
needed to know certain things, as long ago as that time was.
