    Day 279, 6 October 2025

    1) Matthew 8:5-13, Luke 7:1-17, Matthew 11:1-19, Luke 7:18-35,
    Matthew 11:20-30, Luke 7:36-50

    Matthew 8:5-13

The Healing of a Centurion's Servant

    Lk 7:1-10; Jn 4:43-54

5 (Lk 7:1-10) And when Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion
(Zec 9:9.) came to Him, entreating Him,
6 (Mt 4:24) and saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home,
    sick with paralysis, terribly tormented."
7 Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."
8 (Ps 107:20) The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy
that You should come under my roof. But speak the word only,
and my servant will be healed.
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me.
And I say to this man, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,'
and he comes, and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
10 (Mt 15:28; Mk 6:6) When Jesus heard it, He was amazed
and said to those who followed, "Truly I say to you, I have not found
such great faith, no, not in Israel.
11 (Mal 1:11; Isa 59:19) And I say to you that many will come
from the east and west and will dine with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
    in the kingdom of heaven.
12 (Mt 25:30; 13:42; 13:50) But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown
out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
13 (Mt 9:22) Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. And as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed
    that very moment.

[5] And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a
    centurion, beseeching him,
[6] And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy,
    grievously tormented.
[7] And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
[8] The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou
shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant
    shall be healed.
[9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say
to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and
to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
[10] When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
[11] And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west,
and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
[12] But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
[13] And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast
believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the
    selfsame hour.

    Luke 7:1-17

The Healing of a Centurion's Servant
    Mt 8:5-13; Jn 4:43-54

1 (Mt 8:5-13) When He had completed all His words in the hearing
of the people, He entered Capernaum.
2 Now a centurion's Gk. 2 lepta. A lepton, meaning "small" or "thin,"
is a fraction of a penny and about 1/128 of a denarius, which was
a day's wage. A Jewish bronze or copper coin, it was the smallest coin circulated. servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die.
3 (Mt 8:5) When he heard of Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to Him, asking Him to come and heal his servant.
4 When they came to Jesus, they asked Him earnestly, saying,
"You should do this for him for he is worthy,
5 for he loves our nation, and he has built us a synagogue."
6 (Lk 8:49) So Jesus went with them.
When He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends
to Him, saying, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself,
for I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.
7 (Ps 107:20) Likewise, I did not think myself worthy to come to You.
But say the word, and my servant will be healed.
8 For I myself am a man placed under authority, having soldiers under me.
I say to one, 'Go,' and he goes, and to another, 'Come,' and he comes
and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."
9 (Mt 8:10) When Jesus heard these words, He marveled at him,
and turned and said to the people who followed Him,
"I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel."
10 Then those who were sent, returning to the house,
found the servant well who had been sick.

    Luke 7
[1] Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people,
    he entered into Capernaum.
[2] And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick,
    and ready to die.
[3] And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
[4] And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying,
That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
[5] For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
[6] Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the
house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble
not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
[7] Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say
in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
[8] For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers,
and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he
cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
[9] When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him
about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I
have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
[10] And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant
    whole that had been sick.

The Raising of the Widow's Son

11 The following day He went into a city called Nain,
and many of His disciples and a large crowd went with Him.
12 (Lk 8:42)When He came near the gate of the city, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow.
And a large crowd from the city was with her.
13 (Lk 8:52; Heb 4:15 )When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her
and said to her, "Do not weep."
14 Then He came and touched the coffin, and those who carried it stood still. He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."
15 He who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He gave him to his mother.
16 (Mt 9:8; Lk 7:3) 9Fear came on everyone. And they glorified God, saying,
"A great prophet has risen up among us!" and "God has visited His people!"
17 This rumor of Him went throughout all Judea and the surrounding region.

[11] And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called
Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
[12] Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
[13] And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
[14] And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still.
And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
[15] And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him
    to his mother.
[16] And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a
great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
[17] And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

    Matthew 11:1-19

    Matthew 11

1 (Mt 9:35) When Jesus finished instructing His twelve disciples,
He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities.

    Matthew 11
[1] And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

The Messengers From John the Baptist
    Lk 7:18-35

2 (Mt 14:3; 4:12) Now when John had heard in prison the works of Christ,
he sent two of his disciples,
3 (Heb 10:37; Jn 11:27) and said to Him, "Are You He who should come,
or should we look for another?"
4 Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what you hear and see:
5 (Lk 4:18; Isa 35:4-6; Mt 5:3) The blind receive their sight
and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear,
the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
    [Taken from Isa 35:5-6; 61:1.]
6 (Isa 8:14-15; Mt 24:10) Blessed is he who does not fall away because of Me." 7 (Eph 4:14; Jas 1:6) As they departed, Jesus began to say to the crowds concerning John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see?
A reed shaken by the wind? 8If not, what did you go out to see?
A man dressed in soft clothing? Indeed,
those who wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
9 (Lk 1:76; Mt 14:5) Then what did you go out to see? A prophet?
Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.
10 (Mal 3:1; Mk 1:2) For this is he of whom it is written:
'Look, I am sending My messenger before Your face,
who will prepare Your way before You.'[Mal 3:1.]
11 Truly I say to you, among those who are born of women,
there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist.
But he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
12 (Lk 16:16) From the days of John the Baptist until now,
the kingdom of heaven has forcefully advanced,
and the strong take it by force.
13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.
14 (Mal 4:5; Mt 17:10-13) And if you are willing to receive it,
he is Elijah, who is to come.
15 (Mt 13:9; 13:43) He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
16 "But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children
sitting in the markets, calling to their friends,
    17 saying:
'We played the flute for you,
    and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge to you,
    and you did not mourn.'
18 (Mt 3:4; Lk 1:15) For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
19 (Mt 9:10-11; Lk 5:29-30) The Son of Man came eating and drinking,
and they say, 'Here is a gluttonous man, a drunkard, a friend of
tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is justified by her children."

[2] Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two
    of his disciples,
[3] And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for
    another?
[4] Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
[5] The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are
cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
[6] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
[7] And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the
    wind?
[8] But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
[9] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and
    more than a prophet.
[10] For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger
before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
[11] Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in
the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
[12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
[13] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
[14] And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
[15] He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
[16] But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
[17] And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
[18] For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a
    devil.
[19] The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom
    is justified of her children.

    Luke 7:18-35

The Messengers From John the Baptist

    Mt 11:2-19
18 The disciples of John told him of all these things.
19 (Lk 10:1; Jn 4:25) John, calling for two of his disciples, sent them
    to Jesus, saying,
"Are You the One who is coming, or shall we look for another?"
20 When the men had come to Him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us
to You, saying, 'Are You the One who is coming,
or shall we look for another?' "
21 (Mk 3:10) In that same hour He cured many of their infirmities
and afflictions and evil spirits. And to many who were blind He gave sight.
22 (Lk 4:18; Isa 35:5-6) So Jesus answered them, "Go and tell John what
you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers
are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised,
and the gospel is preached to the poor.
23 (Isa 8:14-15) Blessed is he who does not fall away on account of Me."
24 (Lk 1:80; 3:2) When the messengers of John had departed,
He began to speak to the crowd concerning John:
"What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
25 If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes?
Now those who are splendidly clothed
and live luxuriously are in royal palaces.
26 (Lk 1:76; 20:6) What then did you go out to see? A prophet?
Yes, I say to you, and much more than a prophet.
27 (Mal 3:1; Mk 1:2) This is he of whom it is written:
'Look, I am sending My messenger before Your face,
who shall prepare Your way before You.'(Dt 6:5.)
28 I say to you, among those who are born of women there is no greater
prophet than John the Baptist. Yet he who is least in the kingdom of God
    is greater than he."
29 (Lk 3:12; 7:35) All the people who heard Him,
including the tax collectors, justified God, having been baptized
    with the baptism of John.
30 (Mt 22:35) But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God
for themselves, not having been baptized by John.
31 Then the Lord said, "To what then shall I compare the men
of this generation, and what are they like?
32 They are like children sitting in the marketplace, calling to each other, saying:
'We played the flute for you,
    and you did not dance;
    we mourned to you,
    and you did not weep.'
33 (Lk 1:15; Mt 3:4) For John the Baptist came neither eating bread
nor drinking wine. But you say, 'He has a demon.'
34 (Lk 15:2; Mt 9:11) The Son of Man has come eating and drinking.
But you say, 'Look, a glutton and a drunkard,
a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'
35 (Pr 8:32-36; Lk 7:29) But wisdom is justified by all her children."

[18] And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.
[19] And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus,
saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
[20] When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us
unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
[21] And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues,
and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
[22] Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the
    gospel is preached.
[23] And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
[24] And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto
the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see?
A reed shaken with the wind?
[25] But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
[26] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and
    much more than a prophet.
[27] This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before
thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
[28] For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom
of God is greater than he.
[29] And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God,
being baptized with the baptism of John.
[30] But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
[31] And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?
[32] They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one
to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we
have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
[33] For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and
ye say, He hath a devil.
[34] The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
[35] But wisdom is justified of all her children.

    Matthew 11:20-30

    Unrepentant Cities
    Lk 10:13-15

20 (Ps 81:11-13; Isa 1:2-5) Then He began to reprimand the cities
where most of His mighty works were done, because they did not repent:
21 (Mt 15:21; Mk 6:45) "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida!
For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done
in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 (Mt 10:15; 11:24) But I say to you, it will be more tolerable
for Tyre and Sidon on the Day of Judgment than for you.
23 (Isa 14:13-15; Mt 4:13) And you, Capernaum, who is exalted toward heaven, will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works which have been done
in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
24 (Mt 10:15; 11:22) But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable
for the land of Sodom on the Day of Judgment than for you."

[20] Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works
were done, because they repented not:
[21] Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would
have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
[22] But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at
the day of judgment, than for you.
[23] And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought
down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had
been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
[24] But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of
Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

    Come to Me and Rest
    Lk 10:21-22

25 (Ps 8:2; Jn 11:41) At that time Jesus said, "I thank You, O Father,
Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things
from the wise and prudent and revealed them to infants.
26 Even so, Father, for it seemed good in Your sight.
27 (Jn 10:15; Mt 28:18; Jn 1:18) "All things are delivered to Me
by My Father, and no one knows the Son, except the Father.
And no one knows the Father, except the Son
and he to whom the Son will reveal Him.
28 (Jn 7:37; 6:37) "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened,
and I will give you rest.
29 (Jer 6:16; Jn 13:15) Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me.
For I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
    [Jer 6:16. ]
30 (1Jn 5:3) For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.rCY

[25] At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and
prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
[26] Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
[27] All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the
Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and
he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
    you rest.
[29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

    Luke 7:36-50

    A Sinful Woman Forgiven

36 (Lk 11:37; 14:1) One of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him.
So He went to the Pharisee's house and sat down for supper.
37 There, a woman of the city who was a sinner, when she learned
that Jesus was sitting for supper in the Pharisee's house,
brought an alabaster jar of ointment,
38 and stood behind Him at His feet, weeping, and began to wash
His feet with tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head,
and kissed His feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39 (Lk 7:16; 15:2) Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw it,
he said to himself, "If this Man were a prophet, He would have known who
and what kind of woman she is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."
40 Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to say to you."
    He said, "Teacher, say it."
41 (Mt 18:28) "A creditor had two debtors.
The one owed five hundred denarii, [Gk. denarius, a coin worth
about a day's wage.] and the other fifty.
42 When they had no money to pay, he freely forgave them both.
Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?"
43 Simon answered, "I suppose he whom he forgave more."
He said to him, "You have judged rightly."
44 (1Ti 5:10; Ge 19:2) Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon,
"Do you see this woman? I entered your house. You gave Me no water
for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears
and wiped them with the hair of her head.
45 (2Sa 15:5; 19:39) You gave Me no kiss, but this woman, since the time
I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.
46 (Ps 23:5; Ecc 9:8) You did not anoint My head with oil,
but this woman has anointed My feet with ointment.
47 (1Jn 4:19) Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little loves little."
48 (Mt 9:2; Mk 2:5) Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
49 Those who sat at supper with Him began to say to themselves,
"Who is He who even forgives sins?"
50 (Mt 9:22; Mk 5:34) He said to the woman,
"Your faith has saved you. Go in peace."

[36] And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
[37] And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew
that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
[38] And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet
with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his
feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
[39] Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and
what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
[40] And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.
[41] There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
[42] And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?
[43] Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
[44] And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman?
I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she
hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
[45] Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath
not ceased to kiss my feet.
[46] My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.
[47] Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for
she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
[48] And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.
[49] And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who
is this that forgiveth sins also?
[50] And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

    Philippians 2:1-11

    Philippians 2:1-11

    Why can't we get along?

    What is our foundation?

    Philippians 2

    Christian Humility and Christ's Humility

1 (2Co 13:14; Col 3:12) If there is any encouragement in Christ, if any
comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any compassion and mercy, [1] If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 (Jn 3:29; Ro 12:16) then fulfill my joy and be like-minded, having the same love, being in unity with one mind.
[2] Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of
    one accord, of one mind.

    2 seats of knowledge exist

Cognitive - we learn facts , concepts and priciples.
Experiential - experiencing what is true

Experiential knowledge wins out over cognitive knowledge

    Notice the emotionals words

    Philippians 2

1 (2Co 13:14; Col 3:12) If there is any encouragement in Christ, if any
comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any compassion and mercy, [1] If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

A sense of confidence and peace

    Comfort and cherish

The sensing of the presence of God.

Tenderness/mercy is something created by the Holy
Spirit at the core of who we are.

Compassion toward others is what spills over from the reality of tenderness.

How do you experience the Spirit of the Lord?

Our experience with God inspires us to:

    I ) Be like minded

2 (Jn 3:29; Ro 12:16) then fulfill my joy and be like-minded ...
[2] Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded ...

    II) Love sacrificially

2 (Jn 3:29; Ro 12:16) then fulfill my joy and be like-minded, having the same love, ...
[2] Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, ...

III) Be one in spirit and purpose

2 (Jn 3:29; Ro 12:16) then fulfill my joy and be like-minded, having the same love, being in unity with one mind.
[2] Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of
    one accord, of one mind.

    Christian Humility and Christ's Humility

3 (Ro 12:10; Gal 5:26) Let nothing be done out of strife or conceit, but in humility let each esteem the other better than himself.
4 (Ro 15:1) Let each of you look not only to your own interests, but also
    to the interests of others.
5 (Mt 11:29; Ro 15:3) Let this mind be in you all, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 (Jn 5:18; 10:33) who, being in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped.
7 (Mt 20:28; Jn 1:14) But He emptied Himself,
taking upon Himself the form of a servant,
and was made in the likeness of men.
8 (Heb 12:2; Mt 26:39; Jn 10:18) And being found in the form of a man,
    He humbled Himself
    and became obedient to death,
    even death on a cross.
9 (Heb 2:9; Mt 28:18) Therefore God highly exalted Him
and gave Him the name which is above every name,
10 (Mt 28:18) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 (Jn 13:13; Ro 14:9) and every tongue should confess
    that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

[3] Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of
mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
[4] Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things
    of others.
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
[6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
    God:
[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
[8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
[9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which
    is above every name:
[10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,
    and things in earth, and things under the earth;
[11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

TAt electric vehicle charging stations across the United States, some drivers overstay their time at "fast-chargers," which are designed to help drivers quickly charge their cars and get back on the road. To resolve this unkind behaviour, one of the largest charging networks has implemented strict time limits at some of its busiest stations. When a vehiclerCOs battery charge reaches eighty-five percent, the driver must make room for the next car in need of a charge.

The apostle Paul encouraged believers in Jesus to humbly "value others above [themselves]" (Philippians 2:3). He addressed an issue that was grating the Philippian church - self-centeredness. The people desired recognition
and distinction, not from pure motives but from "selfish ambition" (v. 3).
Paul urged the believers to have the mind of Christ and to look "to the
interests of the others" (v. 4). This didn't mean that they should forget
their own needs in an unhealthy way, but that they would care for others'
needs as those who "have the same mindset as Christ Jesus" (v. 5).
The apostle encouraged the Philippians to empty themselves of pride
and to humbly make room for others. The ultimate motivation
    for making room? Love.

As we seek to imitate Christ's example each day (vv. 6-11),
He can help us make room for others by viewing them with His loving eyes.

    Reflect & Pray

How can you place others' needs above your own?
What does it mean to see others through God's eyes?

Dear God, please help me empty myself and make room for others.

    3) Daily verses taken from Billy Graham Evangelical Organisation

Words in Season Scripture Memory Tools

Week 4 - The Blessings of Grace Day 2 - Alienation and Reconciliation

    Col 1:21-22

21 (Eph 2:12) And you, who were formerly alienated
and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
22 (Ro 7:4; Eph 5:27) in the body of His flesh through death,
to present you holy and blameless and above reproach in His sight,

21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind
by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy
and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight

Some 50 years ago, Orson Welles's radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds threw the nation into panic; people on the East Coast ran for their lives, expecting at any moment to be destroyed by alien invaders from outer space. Today, of course, we are more sophisticated about such matters.
Television and movies have educated us about alien life forms.
Star Wars and Star Trek have taught us that their appearance can be much different than ours. Sometimes they are unable to exist in our atmosphere
with artificial life-support systems; their physical makeup is often incompatible with our environment.
God says that we, apart from Christ, are as incompatible with his kingdom
as the 'aliens' of movies are with Earth's environment.
We are at war with God, a true "war of the worlds" that staggers
    the imagination.
Yet God has 'reconciled' us to his world. He has made us fit,
made us able to exist in his kingdom. He has made us part of
his world through Christ's death and resurrection.
Now, through Christ, we are 'holy' and 'without blemish' in God's sight.
And that transformation, ironically, make us 'alien' in the world around us.
No longer do we fit in a world of selfishness and greed, a world where Self
is god and everyone does what is right in his own heart.
We belong, instead, in the kingdom of God's righteousness.

    Application

    a) In what ways am I an 'alien' in this world?

    b) How have I been an 'alien' to God's kingdom?

    c) How can today's verses help me deal with my sense of 'not fitting'?
    to Jesus?

    4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

    3 John 2

2 Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be
in good health, even as your soul is well.

2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

    5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

    God's Inexhaustible Strength

    Is 40:27-31

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
    and assert, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the Lord,
and my justice escapes the notice of my God"?
28 (Ps 147:5; Ge 21:33; Isa 57:15) Have you not known?
    Have you not heard,
that the everlasting God, the Lord,
the Creator of the ends of the earth,
does not faint, nor is He weary?
    His understanding is inscrutable.
29 (Isa 41:10) He gives power to the faint,
and to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 (Isa 9:17) Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
and the young men shall utterly fall,
31 (2Co 4:16; Ps 103:5; Ex 19:4) but those who wait upon the Lord
    shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
and they shall walk and not faint.

27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid
from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God,
the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not,
neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might
    he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall
    utterly fall:
    31 but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

Remember God's promises when You pray

    The Lord's prayer

    Matthew 6:9-13

9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
Our Father who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your name.
    10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
    Your will be done
on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
    as we forgive our debtors.
13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

    6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)

    Prince Edward Island

    Total population 146300
    Muslim population (est.) 1127

Charlottetown does not currently (fall 2014) have a local CNMM network.
Pray with us for God's people to come together in reaching Muslims cooperatively across denominational and organisational lines.

More than 200 attended the Eid festival at the end of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting during daylight hours and the reading of the Qur'an, at
the Dar as-Salam mosque in 2014. This second mosque established
in Charlottetown, the other being the Muslims Association of PEI.
As of mid-2014,there are between 250 to 300 families, mostly in Charlottetown.

The Muslims of Charlottetown see their community as symbolically important
for this nation since this is known as the "birthplace of Canada". Yet we were established as the "Dominion of Canada" with an appeal not only to
monarchial authority, but even more to God's higher Biblical authority as
shown in Psalm 72:8, "May he have dominion from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth."
    Let us intercede together for:

    - the growing Muslim population of Charlottetown and spreading
outward through PEI to encounter the Prince of Peace.
    - believers to have faith and vision to reach out to the Muslim Community
in contextual ways to share the Gospel
    - churches and ministries to rise up in wisdom, knowledge and understanding, giving and training, coaching and encouragement to believers reaching
    out to Muslims locally.
    - a prayer movement to be established, feeding a growing move of Yahweh's Spirit in His churches and people , and an awakening an openness
and spiritual hunger in Muslims for relationship with the Father
    through the Son.

    Adding further

30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

    Under the Keep Praying page

When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and, of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be decorated and festivals will be held.
For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.
You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
    which means Blessed Eid!"
Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you know, and Muslims around the world:
    - Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other, "What does this mean?"
13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

    Peter's Speech at Pentecost

14 (Ac 1:26) But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice
and said to them, "Men of Judea and all you who dwell in Jerusalem,
let this be known to you, and listen to my words.
15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose,
since it is the third hour of the day.
16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 (Isa 44:3; Ac 10:45) 'In the last days it shall be,' says God,
    'that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams.'

    - Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective discipleship movements among Muslim people.

    - Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house."

    Ideas for prayer

    - Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
    - Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving Christ among Muslim people -

Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
    - When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity

(Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, atheists, secular humanists, ...)

6 (Job 28:28; Pr 1:7 ) Therefore, keep and do them, for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations which shall hear all these statutes, and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and
    understanding people."
7 (2Sa 7:23; Ps 46:1) For what nation is there so great, who has a god so near to it as the Lord our God is in all things whenever we call on Him?

6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and
your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and
    understanding people.
7 For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them,
as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

    Matt 5:13-16

13 (Lev 2:13; Lk 14:34-35) "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how shall it be made salty? It is from then on good for nothing but to be thrown out and to be trampled underfoot by men.
14 (Jn 8:12; Pr 4:18) "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

16 (1Pe 2:12; Mt 9:8; Jn 15:8) Let your light so shine before men that they
may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set
on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on

8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:

in all godliness and honesty, 3 (1Ti 1:1; Lk 1:47) for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 (Eze 18:23; 18:32)who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 for kings,
