    1)Ezekiel 24, Ezekiel 25 , Ezekiel 26, Ezekiel 27

    Ezekiel 24:1-14

    Ezekiel 24

    The Siege of Jerusalem

    1 (Eze 8:1; 20:1) And in the ninth year, in the tenth month,
    on the tenth day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
    2 (2Ki 25:1; Jer 39:1) Son of man, write the name of the day, this same day. The king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this same day.
    3 (Eze 11:3; 17:2) Utter a parable to the rebellious house and say to them, Thus says the Lord God:
    Put on the pot, put it on,
    and also pour water into it.
    4 (Mic 3:2-3) Gather the pieces into it,
    even every good piece, the thigh and the shoulder.
    Fill it with the choice bones;
    5 (Jer 52:10; 52:24-27) take the choicest of the flock,
    and also pile the bones under it;
    make it boil well,
    also seethe its bones in it.
    6 (Eze 22:2; Na 3:1) Therefore thus says the Lord God:
    Woe to the bloody city,
    to the pot whose rust is in it,
    and whose rust has not gone out of it!
    Take out of it piece by piece
    without choosing.
    7 (Lev 17:13; Dt 12:16) For her blood is in her midst;
    she set it on the bare rock;
    she did not pour it on the ground
    to cover it with dust.
    8 That it may cause fury to come up to take vengeance,
    I have set her blood on the bare rock,
    that it may not be covered.
    9 (Isa 30:33; Eze 24:6) Therefore thus says the Lord God:
    Woe to the bloody city!
    I will also make the pile great.
    10 Heap on wood,
    kindle the fire;
    boil the flesh,
    and spice it well,
    and let the bones be burned.
    11 (Jer 21:10; Mal 4:1) Then set it empty on its coals,
    so that it may be hot and its bronze may glow,
    and its filthiness may be melted in it,
    and its rust may be consumed.
    12 (Jer 9:5) She has wearied Me with toil,
    and her great rust has not gone from her.
    Let her rust be in the fire.
    13 (Jer 6:28-30; Eze 5:13) In your filthiness is lewdness.
    Because I would have purged you, yet you are not purged,
    you shall not be purged from your filthiness anymore until
    I have caused My fury to rest on you.
    14 (Eze 18:30; Nu 23:19) I the Lord have spoken. It shall come to pass
    and I will act. I will not go back, nor will I spare, nor will I be sorry. According to your ways and according to your deeds, I shall judge you,
    says the Lord God.

    [1] Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the
    month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [2] Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the
    king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
    [3] And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
    [4] Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
    [5] Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make
    it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
    [6] Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot
    whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out
    piece by piece; let no lot fall up on it.
    [7] For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
    [8] That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her
    blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
    [9] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even
    make the pile for fire great.
    [10] Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well,
    and let the bones be burned.
    [11] Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be
    hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that
    the scum of it may be consumed.
    [12] She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth
    out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
    [13] In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou
    wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till
    I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
    [14] I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I
    will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to
    thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the
    Lord GOD.

    The Death of Ezekiel's Wife

    15 Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
    16 (Jer 13:17; 22:10) Son of man, I am about to take away from you the desire of your eyes with a stroke. Yet you shall not mourn or weep,
    nor shall your tears run down.
    17 (Hos 9:4; Lev 10:6) Groan silently. Make no mourning for the dead.
    Bind on your turban and put your shoes on your feet and do not cover
    your mustache and do not eat the bread of men.
    18 So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died. And in the morning I did as I was commanded.
    19 (Eze 12:9; 37:18) And the people said to me,
    "Will you not tell us what these
    things mean forus, that you are behaving this way?"
    20 Then I answered them: The word of the Lord came to me, saying:
    21 (Eze 23:47; Ps 27:4) Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God:
    I will profane My sanctuary, the pride of your strength,
    the desire of your eyes and the delight of your soul.
    And your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind shall fall
    by the sword.
    22 You shall do as I have done. You shall not cover your mustache,
    nor will you eat the bread of men.
    23 (Lev 26:39; Eze 4:17) Your turbans shall be on your heads,
    and your shoes on your feet. You shall not mourn or weep.
    But you shall pine away for your iniquities and groan toward one another.
    24 (Eze 4:3; Isa 20:3) Thus Ezekiel is a sign to you. According to all that
    he has done you shall do. And when it comes about, then you shall know that
    I am the Lord God.
    25 (Eze 24:21; Ps 48:2) As for you, son of man, shall it not be on the day
    when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire
    of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds,
    their sons and their daughters,
    26 (Job 1:15-19; Eze 33:21-22) that on that day he who escapes shall come
    to you to cause you to hear it with your ears?
    27 (Eze 33:22; 3:26-27) On that day your mouth shall be opened to him who escaped, and you shall speak and be mute no more. Thus you shall be a sign
    to them. And they shall know that I am the Lord.

    [15] Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [16] Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with
    a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
    [17] Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine
    head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips,
    and eat not the bread of men.
    [18] So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died;
    and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
    [19] And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things
    are to us, that thou doest so?
    [20] Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [21] Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your
    eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters
    whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
    [22] And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat
    the bread of men.
    [23] And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet:
    ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.
    [24] Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done
    shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
    [25] Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
    [26] That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee
    to hear it with thine ears?
    [27] In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and
    they shall know that I am the LORD.

    Ezekiel 25

    A Prophecy Against Ammon

    1 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying:
    2 (Jer 49:1-6; Eze 6:2) Son of man, set your face against the sons of Ammon
    and prophesy against them,
    3 (Eze 36:2; Ps 70:2-3) and say to the sons of Ammon, Hear the word
    of the Lord God. Thus says the Lord God: Because you said, "Aha!" against
    My sanctuary when it was profaned, and against the land of Israel
    when it was made desolate, and against the house of Judah
    when they went into captivity,
    4 (Dt 28:33; 28:51) therefore, I will deliver you to the men of the East
    for a possession, and they shall set their camps among you
    and make their dwellings among you. They shall eat your fruit
    and drink your milk.
    5 (Eze 21:20; 2Sa 12:26) I will make Rabbah a meadow for camels,
    and the sons of Ammon a couching place for flocks. Thus you shall know
    that I am the Lord.
    6 (Zep 2:8; Ob 1:12) For thus says the Lord God: Because you have clapped
    your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced in heart with all your spite against the land of Israel,
    7 (Zep 1:4; Eze 25:13) therefore, I will stretch out My hand against you
    and deliver you for destruction to the nations. And I will cut you off
    from the peoples and cause you to perish from the countries.
    I will destroy you. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

    [1] The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
    [2] Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them; [3] And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith
    the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against
    the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
    [4] Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their
    dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
    [5] And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
    [6] For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against
    the land of Israel;
    [7] Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will
    deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

    A Prophecy Against Moab

    8 (Isa 15:1-9; Jer 25:21) Thus says the Lord God: Because Moab and Seir say, Look, the house of Judah is like all the nations,
    9 (Jos 13:17; Jer 48:23) therefore, I will deprive the side of Moab
    of its cities, of its cities which are on its frontiers, the glory
    of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,
    10 (Eze 21:32) and I will give it for a possession with the Ammonites
    to the men of the East, so that the sons of Ammon may not be remembered
    among the nations.
    11 I will execute judgments on Moab. And they shall know that I am the Lord.

    [8] Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen;
    [9] Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from
    his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,
    [10] Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.
    [11] And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am
    the LORD.

    A Prophecy Against Edom

    12 (Ps 137:7; Jer 49:7-22) Thus says the Lord God: Because Edom
    has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance
    and has greatly offended and revenged themselves upon them,
    13 (Jer 25:23; Eze 29:8) therefore thus says the Lord God:
    I will also stretch out My hand against Edom and cut off man
    and beast from it. And I will make it desolate. From Teman even
    to Dedan they shall fall by the sword.
    14 (Isa 11:14) I will lay My vengeance upon Edom by the hand
    of My people Israel. And they shall do in Edom according to My anger
    and according to My fury. And they shall know My vengeance, says the Lord God.

    [12] Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house
    of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged
    himself upon them;
    [13] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand
    upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it
    desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.
    [14] And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel:
    and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury;
    and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

    A Prophecy Against Philistia

    15 (Isa 14:29-31; Eze 25:6) Thus says the Lord God: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge and have taken vengeance with a spiteful heart
    to destroy with everlasting hatred,
    16 (1Sa 30:14; Eze 25:13) therefore thus says the Lord God:
    I will stretch out My hand against the Philistines
    and will cut off the Kerethites and destroy the remnant of the seacoast.
    17 (Eze 25:11; Ps 9:16) I will execute great vengeance upon them
    with furious rebukes. And they shall know that I am the Lord when
    I lay My vengeance upon them.

    [15] Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;
    [16] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
    [17] And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

    Ezekiel 26

    A Prophecy Against Tyre

    1 (Eze 20:13) In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month,
    the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
    2 (Isa 23:1-18; Jer 25:22) Son of man, because Tyre has said against
    Jerusalem, "Aha, the gateway of the peoples is broken. It has opened to me.
    I shall be filled now that she is laid waste,"
    3 (Isa 5:30; Jer 51:42) therefore thus says the Lord God: I am against you,
    O Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.
    4 (Isa 23:11; Am 1:10) They shall destroy the walls of Tyre
    and break down her towers. I will also scrape her dust from her
    and make her a bare rock.
    5 (Eze 29:19; 25:7) She shall be a place for the spreading of nets
    in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken, says the Lord God,
    and she shall become destruction to the nations.
    6 (Eze 16:46; 26:8) Her daughters who are on the mainland shall be slain
    by the sword. And they shall know that I am the Lord.
    7 (Ezr 7:12; Da 2:37) For thus says the Lord God: From the north I will bring upon Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, with horses
    and with chariots and with cavalry and a great army.
    8 (Eze 21:22; Jer 6:6) He shall slay your daughters on the mainland
    with the sword. And he shall set up a siege wall against you
    and cast up a mound against you and lift up the roof of shields against you.
    9 He shall set engines of war against your walls, and with his axes he shall break down your towers.
    10 (Jer 47:3; Eze 26:15) By reason of the abundance of his horses,
    their dust shall cover you. Your walls shall shake at the noise
    of the horsemen and of the wagons and of the chariots when he enters
    your gates as men enter a city that has been breached.
    11 (Isa 5:28; 26:5) With the hoofs of his horses he shall tread
    down all your streets. He shall slay your people by the sword,
    and your strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.
    12 (Isa 23:8; 2Ch 32:27) They shall make a spoil of your riches,
    and a prey of your merchandise. And they shall break down your walls
    and destroy your pleasant houses. And they shall lay your stones
    and your timber and your dust in the midst of the water.
    13 (Isa 23:16; Jer 7:34) I will cause the noise of your songs to cease.
    And the sound of your harps shall be heard no more.
    14 (Job 12:14; Mal 1:4) I will make you a bare rock. You shall be a place
    to spread nets upon. You shall be built no more, for I the Lord have spoken, says the Lord God.

    [1] And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
    [2] Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:
    [3] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus,
    and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.
    [4] And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.
    [5] It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea:
    for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to
    the nations.
    [6] And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword;
    and they shall know that I am the LORD.
    [7] For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus
    Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with
    horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. [8] He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall
    make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.
    [9] And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.
    [10] By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee:
    thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and
    of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a
    city wherein is made a breach.
    [11] With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he
    shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down
    to the ground.
    [12] And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the
    midst of the water.
    [13] And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.
    [14] And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken
    it, saith the Lord GOD.

    15 (Eze 27:35; Jer 49:21) Thus says the Lord God to Tyre:
    Shall not the coastlands shake at the sound of your fall when the wounded
    cry, when the slaughter is made in your midst?
    16 (Eze 32:10; Job 8:22) Then all the officials of the sea shall come down
    from their thrones and lay away their robes and take off their embroidered garments. They shall clothe themselves with trembling. They shall sit
    on the ground and tremble every moment and be astonished at you.
    17 (Eze 19:1; Isa 14:12) They shall take up a lamentation over you and say
    to you:
    How you are destroyed, O inhabited one of the seas,
    the renowned city,
    which was strong in the sea,
    she and her inhabitants,
    who caused her terror
    to be on all her inhabitants!
    18 (Isa 23:5-7; Eze 26:15) Now the coastlands shall tremble
    on the day of your fall; indeed,
    the coastlands that are by the sea
    shall be troubled at your departure.
    19 (Isa 8:7-8; Eze 26:3) For thus says the Lord God: When I make you
    a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I bring up
    the deep upon you and great waters shall cover you,
    20 (Ps 27:13; Zec 2:8) then I shall bring you down with those who descend
    into the pit, to the people of old, and make you dwell in the lower parts
    of the earth, in places desolate of old, with those who go down to the pit
    so that you will not be inhabited. But I shall set glory in the land
    of the living.
    21 (Eze 27:36; 28:19) I will bring terrors on you and you shall be no more. Though you will be sought, you shall never be found again, says the Lord God.

    [15] Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the
    sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?
    [16] Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall
    clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.
    [17] And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city,
    which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their
    terror to be on all that haunt it!
    [18] Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.
    [19] For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city,
    like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;
    [20] When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with
    the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;
    [21] I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.

    Ezekiel 27

    A Lament for Tyre

    1 The word of the Lord came again to me, saying:
    2 (Jer 9:10; 9:17-20) Now you, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre.
    3 (Eze 27:4) And say to Tyre who is situated at the entrance of the sea,
    who is a merchant of the peoples for many coastlands,
    Thus says the Lord God:
    O Tyre, you have said,
    "I am perfect in beauty."
    4 Your borders are in the midst of the seas.
    Your builders have perfected your beauty.
    5 (Dt 3:9; SS 4:8) They have made all your ship boards
    of fir trees from Senir;
    they have taken cedars from Lebanon
    to make a mast for you.
    6 (Ge 10:4; Isa 2:13) Of the oaks of Bashan
    they have made your oars;
    with ivory they have inlaid your deck of boxwood
    out of the coastlands of Cyprus.
    7 (Ex 25:4; Jer 10:9) Fine linen with embroidered work
    from Egypt was your sail,
    so that it became your distinguishing sign;
    blue and purple from the coastlands of Elishah

    wound cords, which were among your merchandise.
    25 (Isa 2:16; Ps 48:7) The ships of Tarshish were
    the carriers for your market.
    And you were filled and were very glorious

    and gird themselves with sackcloth;
    and they shall weep for you with bitterness of heart
    and bitter wailing.
    32 (Eze 26:17; 27:2) Also, in their wailing
    they shall take up a lamentation for you and lament over you, saying,
    "Who is like Tyre, like her who is silent
    in the midst of the sea?
    33 (Rev 18:19) When your wares went out by sea,
    you filled many peoples;
    you enriched the kings of the earth
    with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
    34 (Eze 27:26-27; Zec 9:3-4) Now that you are broken by the seas

    and you shall cease to be forever."

    Ezekiel 27
    [1] The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
    [2] Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
    [3] And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea,
    which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
    O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
    [4] Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected
    thy beauty.
    [5] They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have
    taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
    [6] Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of
    Chittim.
    [7] Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that
    which covered thee.
    [8] The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
    [9] The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.
    [10] They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of
    war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy
    comeliness.
    [11] The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and
    the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
    [12] Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.
    [13] Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.
    [14] They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and
    horsemen and mules.
    [15] The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
    [16] Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered
    work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
    [17] Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in
    thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
    [18] Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making,
    for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
    [19] Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.
    [20] Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
    [21] Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
    [22] The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they
    occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious
    stones, and gold.
    [23] Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assur, and
    Chilmad, were thy merchants.
    [24] These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.
    [25] The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
    [26] Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath
    broken thee in the midst of the seas.
    [27] Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy
    pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men
    of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of
    thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
    [28] The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.
    [29] And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the
    sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
    [30] And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow
    themselves in the ashes:
    [31] And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them
    with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
    [32] And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and
    lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
    [33] When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people;
    thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches
    and of thy merchandise.
    [34] In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall. [35] All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
    [36] The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a
    terror, and never shalt be any more.

    A Beautiful Ending</a> by Jennifer Benson Schuldt

    Revelation 21:2-5, 9-11

    2 (Rev 2:7; Ge 2:9) in the middle of its street. On each side of the river
    was the tree of life, which bore twelve kinds of fruit,
    yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were
    for the healing of the nations.
    3 (Zec 14:11; Ps 17:15) There shall be no more curse. The throne of God
    and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
    4 (Mt 5:8; Rev 14:1) They shall see His face, and His name shall
    be on their foreheads.
    5 (Da 7:27; 7:18) Night shall be no more. They need no lamp
    nor the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.
    And they shall reign forever and ever.

    [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
    [3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
    [4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
    [5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither
    light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign
    for ever and ever.

    The Coming of Christ

    9 (Rev 19:10) But he said to me, "See that you not do that.
    For I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers the prophets,
    and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"
    10 (Rev 10:4; Da 8:26) Then he said to me, "Do not seal the words
    of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.
    11 (Eze 3:27; Da 12:10) He who is unjust, let him be unjust still.
    He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous,
    let him be righteous still. He who is holy, let him be holy still."

    [9] Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant,
    and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
    [10] And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this
    book: for the time is at hand.
    [11] He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still:
    and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

    On a warm evening, I met up with friends in a downtown area. We were excited to eat at a restaurant that offered live jazz music outside, but when we arrived, the patio was full. Disappointed, we left and had to walk several blocks to find another place to eat.

    On earth, disappointments come in all sizes, both big and small. Beloved pets pass away. Careers fizzle. Health problems occur. We lose relationships with loved ones. In our setbacks, we have God's comfort, but our life stories don't always contain the blissful endings we long for. Believers in Jesus, however, have the hope of a joyful eternity.

    The book of Revelation records God giving John a breathtaking vision. John
    saw "the Holy City, the new Jerusalem" (21:2). "Prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband" (v. 2), it radiated God's glory. God would inhabit the place along with all His people. In His city there would
    be no crime, no darkness, and no fear (vv. 25-27). Light, peace,
    and goodwill would abound.

    On the night I met my friends for dinner, we ended up walking back past
    the first restaurant. White lights lit the sidewalk, and we stopped to listen to the music as we ate ice cream. I savoured the moment, but we know that
    no earthly joy can compare with the ultimate ending believers
    will enjoy forever.

    Reflect & Pray

    What are you most looking forward to in the next life?
    How does the promise of a joyful future encourage you?

    Dear God, please help me see my pain in light of eternity,
    knowing You have a better future prepared for me.

    Week 6 Showing Grace to Others - Day 4 "Formula" for Forgiveness

    Luke 17:3 - 4

    3 (Lev 19:17; Mt 18:21)"Take heed to yourselves."
    "If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. And if he repents,
    forgive him.
    4 (Mt 18:21-22) If he sins against you seven times in a day,
    and seven times in a day turns to you, saying,
    'I repent,' you must forgive him."

    3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
    4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day,
    and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent;
    thou shalt forgive him.

    The context of these verses give us an interesting perspective of Jesus' disciples. In a corollary passage in Matthew 18, the disciples (through
    Peter, the designated mouthpiece) ask Jesus,
    21 (Mt 18:15; Lk 17:3-4) Then Peter came to Him and said,
    "Lord, how often shall I forgive my brother who sins against me?
    Up to seven times?" (Matthew 18:21)
    The disciples wanted a "formula" for forgiveness: they wanted to be able to develop a checklist. Once, twice, maybe three times a brother could be forgiven, but after that, you could write him off. After all, if
    he keeps on offending over and over again, he doesn't deserve to be forgiven! But Jesus says, " Rebuke him - let him know his fault; if he repents,
    forgive him - even seven times in the same day!"
    And the disciplines' response is predictable: "Lord, increase our faith!" They were more comfortable with their own formula for forgiveness than with the outrageous demands of the love that Christ imposed upon them.
    We are so like the disciples. We want to draw a line and say. "This far
    - no more. I'll forgive you once, but don't do it again. Now that you're forgiven, you'd better shape up!". Yet God's love doesn't recognise "again".
    He forgives, and no matter how often we come to him in repentance
    for repeated offenses, his arms of forgiveness are open to us.
    That is the way God wants us to forgive. He wants us to lay aside our checklists, put away our suspicions, abandon our scoreboards, and forgive. Seven times, or seventy times seven, as often as we have sinned against God
    and been forgiven, we are to forgive.

    Application

    a) Have I ever kept a "scorecard" of performance on someone I
    have forgiven ? Why?

    b) Why do I need "increased faith" to be able to forgive as
    Jesus calls me to?

    4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

    1 Tim 6:17-19

    17 (Ro 11:20; 1Ti 4:10) Command those who are rich in this world that they
    not be conceited, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God,
    who richly gives us all things to enjoy.
    18 (Ro 12:8; 12:13) Command that they do good, that they be rich
    in good works, generous, willing to share,
    19 (Lk 16:9; 1Ti 6:12) and laying up in store for themselves a good
    foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of eternal life.

    17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,
    nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly
    all things to enjoy;
    18 that they do good, that they be rich in good works,
    ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
    19 laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time
    to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

    5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

    God's Eternal Faithfulness

    Ps 89:1 -8

    PSALMS 89

    A Contemplative Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.

    1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever;
    with my mouth I will make known
    Your faithfulness to all generations.
    2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) For I have said,
    "Mercy shall be built up forever;
    Your faithfulness shall be
    established in the heavens."
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) You have said,
    "I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
    I have sworn to David my servant:
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) 'Your offspring I will establish forever,
    and build up your throne for all generations.' " Selah
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Let the heavens praise Your wonders, O Lord;
    Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) For who in the skies can
    be compared to the Lord?
    Who among the heavenly sons is like the Lord?
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) God is greatly to be feared
    in the assembly of the holy ones
    and awesome to all those who surround Him.
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) O Lord God of Hosts,
    who is a mighty Lord like You,
    with Your faithfulness all around You?

    1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever:
    With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
    2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever:
    Thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
    3 I have made a covenant with my chosen,
    I have sworn unto David my servant,
    4 Thy seed will I establish for ever,
    And build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
    5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD:
    Thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
    6 For who in the heaven
    Can be compared unto the LORD?
    Who among the sons of the mighty
    Can be likened unto the LORD?
    7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
    And to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
    8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee?
    Or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

    Remember God's promises when You pray

    The Lord's prayer

    Matthew 6:9-13

    9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
    Our Father who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your name.
    10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
    Your will be done
    on earth, as it is in heaven.
    11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
    12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
    as we forgive our debtors.
    13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
    For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

    9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
    Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
    10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
    11 Give us this day our daily bread.
    12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
    13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
    For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

    6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2021 edition?)

    New Brunswick

    Total population 753900
    Muslim population (est.) 4543

    Moncton, followed by Fredericton and Saint John, each have a growing Muslim population in New Brunswick, In 2007, the building that was formerly a Baptist church was converted into Moncton's 1st mosque. The University of Moncton
    also has a Muslim student association hosting prayer services, fellowship getherings, and outreaches on campus.
    Fredericton also has one mosque and a Muslim student association serving the campuses of the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University. Fredericton's Muslim population consists in 2014 of about 50 families,
    and between 300 to 400 university students.
    Saint John is home to the 1st Muslim Association for the province,
    which also helped foster the Islamic associations of Fredericton and Moncton.
    a 'musalla', or prayer location that is not officially structured as a mosque, has been established in the Uptown area with the intention of seeing it grow into a 2nd official place of Muslim worship. Demand for this new location has been primarily for university students moving into the area.

    Pray for Muslims and New Brunswick
    - that the eyes of pastors, believers and entire congregations will be opened to see this growing body of Muslims, and their hearts will be opened
    to sharing God's love in Jesus Christ with them

    - that intentional ministries to Muslims will grow and flourish in these
    areas of concentration

    - that cooperative CNNMM Networks will form to really, encourage,
    and equip believers to lovingly reach Muslims in this province.

    30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

    Under the Keep Praying page

    When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and, of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be decorated and festivals will be held.
    For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.
    You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
    which means Blessed Eid!"
    Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you know, and Muslims around the world:
    - Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.

    Acts 2:12-17 : 17 12 They were all amazed and perplexed, saying to each other, "What does this mean?"
    13 (1Co 14:23) Others mocking said, "These men are full of new wine."

    Peter's Speech at Pentecost

    14 (Ac 1:26) But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice
    and said to them, "Men of Judea and all you who dwell in Jerusalem,
    let this be known to you, and listen to my words.
    15 For these are not drunk, as you suppose,
    since it is the third hour of the day.
    16 But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
    17 (Isa 44:3; Ac 10:45) 'In the last days it shall be,' says God,
    'that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
    your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    your young men shall see visions,
    and your old men shall dream dreams.'

    - Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective discipleship movements among Muslim people.

    - Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus.

    Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
    a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house."

    Ideas for prayer

    - Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
    - Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving Christ among Muslim people -

    Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
    - When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

    And

    Thank you for praying through the
    5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

    "My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
    I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
    cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

    Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians
    and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the
    love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.
    One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by
    light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

    As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution
    to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

    Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.
    Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father
    to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

    I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs. God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom
    and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

    13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy
    and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,
    through the power of the Holy Spirit.

    [13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that
    ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
