Darwin was hired for the voyage to the Galapagos islands. He never "Discovered" anything. The British sent him -- and other naturalists elsewhere -- BECAUSE they knew of the interests held on the galapagos.
Darwin never came up with "natural selection." He stole that from
Wallace. And Darwin never understood it anyway. Like I said, he never believed in evolution.
A man named Mendel cracked the secrets of inheritance and contacted
Darwin with his findings. Darwin appears to have destroyed what Mendel
sent him. Not an isolated incident for Darwin. No, he seems to have
also lost letters from Wallace that very well would have made Darwin
look a little... unflattering.
In addition to what Mendel sent Darwin, Darwin owned a book in which
an excerpt from Mendel's work was printed. Darwin read the book and
to this day the absolute BEST excuse the devout worshipers of the
Darwin myth can come up with is that he didn't bother with that part
of the book. Afterwards -- AFTER his exposure to Mendel -- Darwin
came out with a pseudo scientific "Theory" in competition with Mendel.
He called his "Theory" pangenesis.
Pangenesis was little different from Lysenkoism, what the communist
would would later adopt in the place of the study/teaching of
evolution. Yes, they banned evolution and instead believed as Darwin believed.
Darwin's pangenesis and Stalin's Lysenkoism were both cheap copies
of Lamarckism, which many will tell you wasn't even original to him!
A pattern has already formed:-a Darwin always looked backwards, never forward:-a The very old idea of common descent coupled to his later plagiarism of Lamarck's writings.
In 20 years, Darwin never once corrected his error. So it took all
that time before the English speaking world rediscovered Mendel and
actual science -- not the pseudo scientific idiocy of Darwin --
could advance.
Oh. When biology did finally advance, 20 years later, it was no
thanks to Darwin.
So, as we can all see Darwin was a curse on science. If he had been
drowned as a baby, as his mother should have rightfully seen to,
then someone else would have gotten all the credit, and the odds that
this someone else could be as stupid and as damaging as Darwin turned
out to be is LAUGHABLE!
Wallace pretty much got things right BEFORE Darwin. Like I said, it
was Wallace that Darwin stole the "Natural Selection" from, even if
Darwin never understood it...

Anyone can see that they pretend that animals change because
their behaviors shape their physical bodies, and these new traits
are passed on to their offspring.

The only actual difference between Darwin and the people who
banned evolution -- in favor of lysenkoism -- is that Darwin
added is hair brained "Gemmules" thing to it. Darwin made up
this idiocy where each part of the body produces it's own
"Gemmules," and if you build up your legs then your legs will
produce & release "Built up legs" gemmules, which will travel
to your gonads (pretending you ever had any) and get passed
along to offspring, who would then be born with built-up legs.
The take away here, because you are intensely stupid and not
just mentally unhinged, is that Darwin and the people who
criminalized evolution both copied lamarckism. They both
believed that behavior changed the body and then these changes
were passed along to their children.
This is NOT natural selection, btw. No surprise as Darwin was
a raging jackass and never understood a goddamn thing he was
writing about...
