isn't it about time that all walls were banned?

It’s even worse than that…I believe the fatality occurred on Porlock Hill, and I’ll bet the cyclist wasn’t riding uphill.

    Time to ban all hills!

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal incident on the A39 earlier
this week - in which a cyclist died after crashing into a wall.

The collision happened at around 3.30pm on Tuesday (August 27), closing the
A39 Porlock Hill, in Porlock, near Minehead, for several hours, as Avon and Somerset Police responded to the incident.

Sadly, the man died at the scene, despite the efforts of both emergency services and members of the public to administer first aid treatment.

And now, police are calling for anyone who may have witnesses [sic] the incident, or might have relevant dashcam or doorbell footage, to get in
    touch with any information.

A police spokesman said: "We have informed the man’s next of kin and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. They are being provided with relevant support from officers. The family wish to thank those who stopped
at the incident and provided first aid."

If you are able to help, you can contact police by filling out this online appeals form, or by calling 101 and quoting 522422634

Absolutely terrible news. My sincere condolences to the family. However I
ask the question of DevonLive where they seem to allow comments possibly in
the hope of argumentative negative comments pointed towards cyclists but
then not allowing them on articles such as "Pensioner caught on camera
driving on wrong side of A30 before Exeter crash" or banned driver caught
over 100mph before crashing into Police car". Amazing journalism might be
    worth commenting DL

Rescued a cyclist once, he was doing the 'Tour de France' bit and hit a
stone wall, broken neck, sternum and open fracture of collar bone, amongst other things, called the air ambulance, it was a remote Yorkshire road,
that too could have easily been fatal, a fun couple of hours out of my
holiday. Some cyclists need to realise the human body is vulnerable.
