At least 40 were killed and dozens wounded today as Israel carried out multiple airstrikes against different civilian targets in the major
eastern Lebanese city of Baalbek.
The larger of the two strikes targeted the Baalbek Civil Defense
Center, which was the main area in which rescue workers organize in
the city. The death toll is not finalized, but at least 15 rescue
workers were among the slain.
This has been a recurring problem with Israeli strikes against
Lebanon, as they have killed a disproportionately large numbers of
paramedics and other rescue workers, whether by attacking medical
centers or hitting rescue workers as they attempt to pull people from previous strikes. Just today, a separate Israeli attack on the
southern village of Arabsalim killed six, including five paramedics.
Earlier in the day, Israel attacked a two-storey residential building
in the al-Shaab neighborhood. Nine people have been reported killed in
that strike, and the number wounded has risen throughout the day, up
to 27.
Baalbek is covered by an evacuation order by Israel, and has been for
weeks. A lot of people have fled, but with Israeli attacks hitting
even areas outside of evacuation zones regularly, many people decided
it was simpler to just stay in place.
Baalbek and the surround Bekaa Valley are regular targets for Israel,
as it is a strongly Shi’ite area. That, along with the south area near
the Israeli border, have seen the most airstrikes in the ongoing war,
though Israel has attacked most areas, no matter how far from any
seemingly relevant targets.

These were rescue workers, not the freedom fighters from Oct 7th.
What's the excuse for this mass murder?
During WWII we killed anywhere from 300,000 to 500,000 German
civilians, just trying to destroy the Nazi war effort. And the
Nazi weren't intentionally trying to get German civilians killed!

War is a very, Very, VERY terrible thing. There is no such thing
as a war where nobody is hurt. There is no such thing as a war
where things aren't destroyed and innocents aren't killed.
War is the very worst thing humans can do.
You only fight a war when you have to. You never fight a war
because you want to. Hamas wanted to. Hezbollah wanted to. And
they wanted to fight a war knowing they had ZERO hope of winning
a military victory. They went to war planning a propaganda
victory, and dead babies were always part of that strategy.
Hamas places their people and their assets inside of schools,
hospitals & mosques BECAUSE they planned all along to scream &
shout how the Israelis were committing war crimes by attacking
schools, hospitals & mosques.
The leader of Hezbollah coward under an apartment block, hoping
that if he was killed then there'd be plenty of dead babies to
blame Israel for... "Look what they did! They have no care for
human life!"
Hezbollah went to war NOT because they had to but because they
wanted to. They wanted to "Support" Hamas.
Hamas went to war BECAUSE they wanted to. They planned it. There
was peace. People could raise families. And Hamas saw all this
and hated it. They wanted those people dead, because dead they're
a propaganda victory but alive they serve no purpose.
Strange how you ignore the many women and children in Israel who have
been killed, maimed, or injured by all those Palestinian terrorist bombs
going off in buses and other public places having absolutely NO military
significance. But of course, professional liars like you pick and
