The wave of sweeping food recalls has come to Costco, with the
wholesale giant pulling five more foods containing chicken
from its shelves due to listeria fears.

Five products - popular frozen snacks and quick pasta meals -
have been recalled, with Costco urging anyone who bought the
items from September to October this year to throw them away
or return them to where you purchased the products.

The superstore's move is part of a mounting issue with
contamination at an Oklahoma facility that makes BrucePac
    ready-to-eat chicken and meat products.

BrucePac has recalled 12 million pounds of meat distributed
to stores, restaurants, and schools nationwide.

    . . .

It hasn't been JUST "BrucePac". The other day McDonalds
had to recall, and issue warnings, after something in
its Big Macs across several states were found to be
teeming with e.coli .... one lawsuit against McD has
    already been filed.

Thing is, overall, these big food-poisoning cases
seem to have jumped sharply in the past year. Now
it COULD just be 'more reporting', but that doesn't
seem to cover it all IMHO.

Hiring too many undocumented aliens ? Maybe.
A deliberate campaign to undermine social
or political order ? Maybe. Cheap-ass corps
    cutting sanitary/inspection measures ? Maybe.
"Random confluence of events" ? Maybe.
