The victim of a vicious stabbing told Bloomington police
officers that he and a 25-year-old woman were about to get
in the shower when she suddenly struck him with a baseball
ball and then began to repeatedly stab him.
Briley Shayne Turner was arrested on Sunday and charged by
the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office with one count of
attempted murder, a Level 1 felony, in addition to one
count of aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony.
Turner’s victim was found on the bathroom floor, police
said, bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds. In
the apartment, investigators found a bloody “tire plug
tool with a metal spike on it” next to the sink and a
bloody baseball bat.
Also found in the apartment was the blood-spattered
handle of a kitchen knife, but the blade was missing.
The blade ended up being found lodged inside the victim —
having broken off in the attack.

But, BET, there was some significant LEAD-UP to
this. Our 'victim' may not be so innocent as he
first appears. Being the LOSER in a fight does
not mean you were in the right.
