The weekends seem to be Batman movies end to end.
There have been just tons of them. Some good, some
not so good, some ultra-depressing quasi-psycho.
Leaving out the one long gay joke of the Adam West
series (and one 'movie') just how many Batman films
HAVE there been ???
Apparently film Batman goes all the way back to 1943
as a pre-movie serial.

As best I can tell, there have been *26* Batman
movies - and more to come. They have stretched
over such a long period that no one actor can
do the role.
Oddly, in a few, the older actors (and even
proposed actors) have re-appeared to varying
degrees.
Why is Batman so compelling ? Hard to pin it
down exactly. It's a character that can be
done kinda comic, or seriously grim. The
one distinguishing characteristic though is
that the Batman is NOT a "super-hero", just
a well-prepped and self-compelled ordinary
human. As such it is easier for people to
imagine themselves as the Batman crusader -
don't have to be from other planets or such.
