Global reaction came swiftly on Wednesday to U.S. President Donald
TrumpÆs call for Gazans to be relocated out of the Strip, which he
described as a ôdemolition siteöù with most, if not all, countries
panning the idea. Trump proposed that ownership of the Strip be
transferred to the United States, which would rebuild it. ôThis was
not a decision made lightly,ö he said à Palestinians could be located
to various locales. ôIt could be numerous sites or it could be one
large site, but the people will be able to live in comfort and peace,ö
Trump said à Most countries, which have embraced a two-state solution
whereby a Palestinian state would be established adjoining the Jewish
state in territories liberated by Israel in the 1967 Six Day War,
expressed a mixture of incredulity and indignation.

What utterly idealist bullshit! ANY two-state solution would eventually
end in open warfare. Just a matter of time.

Depends, if the Palestinian state was given full governance of their
state including land, water and air and security and not subject to
Israeli colonist laws it might work but that would mean Israeli giving
    up control.

And that is what will cause this to fail.

    https://www.quora.com/Is-it-true-that-Netanyahu-gave-Hamas-five-billion-dollars-in-military-aid-after-he-evacuated-from-Gaza-seventeen-years-ago

Every part of that is true, except that:

    Netanyahu didn’t give Hamas money.
The money that Hamas got wasn’t military aid.
Israel evacuated from Gaza 19 years ago, not 17.
The Prime Minister at the time of the ‘Disengagement’ from Gaza was Ariel Sharon, not Netanyahu.
But other than that 90% of the question, it’s accurate.

Here’s what is true: Netanyahu allowed Qatar to transfer Qatari (not Israeli) funds to Gaza, ostensibly for humanitarian aid.

Critics say that (a) he knew the money was really for Hamas, (b) he wanted Hamas to get money, because he thought it would keep Gaza stable (and therefore less of a threat) - and also, thought Hamas was less of a long-term threat than the Palestinian
    Authority.

This isn’t just political opportunists suddenly condemning him today after it became clear in retrospect that mistakes were made. Even back in 2018 a lot of people warned him that the Qatari money was only going to buy temporary calm, and that we’d
pay for it in the long run. And Netanyahu as much as said himself that a complacent Hamas is better than a powerful Palestinian Authority with its own sovereign territory.

    Here’s the ironic part:

The people condemning Netanyahu today for the Qatari cash transfers are the ones supporting massive financial assistance for Gaza today (surely this time, it will really go entirely to humanitarian aid, and not be pocketed by Hamas like the last ten
    times).

The people willing to give Netanyahu a pass for the Qatari money
transfers are the ones most likely to be protesting the transfer of any
aid to Gaza - even food - today.

What utterly idealist bullshit! ANY two-state solution would
eventually end in open warfare. Just a matter of time.

    Because Isreal wants unending war?

Are you always so fucking dense? Look at Hamas and how Hamas has
spent billions of aid money on munitions, tunnels, etc INSTEAD of the

And look too at how our onw USAID enriched and funded them!
