The bible do NOT state that the Earth is flat. Also, the bible is NOT a scientific reference. It contains NO scientific knowledge, only myths,
fables and stories.
The description is that from a society from the late Bronze Age that
don't understand the world, don't know more about the world than their immediate surroundings.
So, the Earth, Sun, Moon and stars are NOT described in even cursory
detail in the bible.
