When we look far into the distance, especially over water, the moisture in the air magnifies what we see in the distance. That magnified side gets pushed into the convergence zone out of view....
There is NO way that the moisture in the air could act like a lens. If
there is enough of it in the air to actually affect the propagation of
light, we call it FOG. It scatters the light in all directions. It never magnify what is behind.
Then, in that «demonstration», that fresnel lens is WAY to high. It's
centre need to lie on the table, NOT way above it. Need to cut the lens
at 1/6 of it's height, and use the top part in order to partly replicate
actual atmospheric refraction. The top part of a cylindrical fresnel
lens would be more adequate.
So, another dishonest flatard lying to promote an impossible narrative.
