I hope Blueshirt can decipher your picks, because the the poor
gamemaster sure as hell can't. (You should have kept the maximally
cryptic picks for your match with Jesper)

Against Jesper I would have tried to force him to
pick Larne because reasons.
But I honestly thought those clues were good enough for me and
for Bobby McGee.
(Larne for Blueshirt is fine)

True story: I had an interview for a very prestigious scholarship back
in about 1979, and one of the committee members asked " What does the
line "freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose...."

I am still at a loss about what this has to do with crusades, and the Toulouse-batmen connection also escapes me.
Maybe time for Werner to run Not-a-Mystery 4?
(wait, maybe I shouldn't give milivella ideas? It's all his fault,
anyway)

Freedom's just another word for nothing left TOULOUSE !
Batman = Caped crusader
But I am assuming you were just taking the mickey about
Werner's cryptic clues, or, as they say in Spain, tomando el
pelo.

My software does not include an option to translate Wernerish to
English... but once deciphered it does make perfect sense!

Do they do cryptics? I like cryptics. Remember "Side order of
synthetic cream" ? Which I think was discussed on RSS.
MH - Jesper Lauridsen
Glentoran F.C. - Dungannon Swifts
St. Etienne - Rennes
I have lost my only home game so far this season.
Glentoran are not all that great at home, really, but they won the last
game at home vs. Dungannon. So, first pick,
1. Glentoran.
2. St. Etienne are pretty good at home, having beaten Lille, Monaco, and three other, for their only wins of the season (away they have a dismal
9 losses and 2 draws. They have been a bit better since appointing a new manager in December 1-2-2. Lost 4-1 to Lille though in the last game.
Rennes have very few points for a team with only a -3 GD, but a lot of
that comes from thumping St. Etienne last time. Their away record is
worse than St. Etienne's. New coach on Jan 30th (3rd one this year) got
a win at home in his first game. Furuhashi just joined. Tough one.
Let's go for the newer new coach effect. Rennes it is !
