Against Jesper I would have tried to force him to
    pick Larne because reasons.

But I honestly thought those clues were good enough for me and
    for Bobby McGee.

Bobby McGee had left the building, as had my dear ol' Uncle
Sherlock, so I was left alone to deal with the everyday
challenges that RSS brings... clearly I failed this challenge.

    (Larne for Blueshirt is fine)

    Maybe subconsciously I didn't though?!

    1. Freedom is just another word for nothing left

True story: I had an interview for a very prestigious scholarship back
in about 1979, and one of the committee members asked " What does the
line "freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose...."
The guy was a politician. I babbled, and did not get the scholarship,
though they did interview me for it again 2 years later (again I did not
    get it)

Years later we (Ucalgary) gave an honorary degree to this guy (now
pretty darn old), and I chatted with him, and mentioned he had asked
that question, which had really taken me aback. He laughed as said that
was one of his favourites and he used it often.

    2. Batmen, Caped

    Ciao,
    Werner

I have lost my only home game so far this season.
Glentoran are not all that great at home, really, but they won the last
game at home vs. Dungannon. So, first pick,

    1. Glentoran.

    2. St. Etienne are pretty good at home, having beaten Lille, Monaco, and three other, for their only wins of the season (away they have a dismal
9 losses and 2 draws. They have been a bit better since appointing a new manager in December 1-2-2. Lost 4-1 to Lille though in the last game.
Rennes have very few points for a team with only a -3 GD, but a lot of
that comes from thumping St. Etienne last time. Their away record is
worse than St. Etienne's. New coach on Jan 30th (3rd one this year) got
a win at home in his first game. Furuhashi just joined. Tough one.

Let's go for the newer new coach effect. Rennes it is !

Jesper picked St. Etienne by email (even though it was a completely
non-cryptic email, so I suspect that somebody hacked his account)

I have lost my only home game so far this season.
Glentoran are not all that great at home, really, but they won the last
game at home vs. Dungannon. So, first pick,

    1. Glentoran.

    2. St. Etienne are pretty good at home, having beaten Lille, Monaco, and
three other, for their only wins of the season (away they have a dismal
9 losses and 2 draws. They have been a bit better since appointing a new manager in December 1-2-2. Lost 4-1 to Lille though in the last game.
Rennes have very few points for a team with only a -3 GD, but a lot of
that comes from thumping St. Etienne last time. Their away record is
worse than St. Etienne's. New coach on Jan 30th (3rd one this year) got
a win at home in his first game. Furuhashi just joined. Tough one.

Let's go for the newer new coach effect. Rennes it is !

I own a Suzuki Swift and liked the city of Rennes, so I pick the two
    away teams*.

Meme picks, but it's not like hard work and research got me much...

    * I don't know if Homer is happy he can choose between his favorite
teams, or angry because he has to compute which home team is homer.

Homer is angry. He picks Glentoran

Against Jesper I would have tried to force him to
    pick Larne because reasons.

But I honestly thought those clues were good enough for me and for Bobby
    McGee.

    Ciao,

    (Larne for Blueshirt is fine)
