THIRTY teams will compete in the league. 2 months before the end of last
season they decided noone would get relegated in 2024. They’re going
back to having an Apertura and Clausura Championship. In the 1st stage
of each, there’s 2 groups of 15 teams. Everyone in each group plays each other once, and they also play 2 interzonal matches.

The top 8 of each go through to the 2nd stage, which is played in a
knockout format.

Why?!

If the Argentinian League ever was the best domestic League Championship
in the World, it certainly isn’t now. The stupid format, never mind the
fact that they’re losing all their best players to Europe, prevents them
from being able to claim that title!
