Yes I see what you mean. We don't actually know until well after the
kick-off though. (The kick-off is when the home player starts thinking
about which team to pick, if not earlier than that isn't it?) By the
time the match in the real world starts, the UPT match is almost over.
And if the home player goes for 1 favourite and 1 underdog we don't
know until the away player picks, which is half way through the match.
So I'm not sure whether we do really have the penalty shoot-out before
the match.
