Is everyone all excited for the big final today? Should be really competitive match between the most storied team in all of Europe (and
one of the top 3 currently in the Spanish league) and the 16th best team
in Mexico.
Go Pachuca !!

Not a chance. In a shock result, Real Madrid won 3-0.
Why waste time with meaningless competitions like this? And
no I did not watch it.

What's the point in watching a top European side playing some
South American team - that wouldn't be a match for them - for
some meaningless trophy? They should use these types of
one-off exhibition games for U 21 teams or something...
It wasn't always like this, mind you...

Tchau!
Jesus Petry
and the other European team (who'd relinquished the
opportunity to play in their domestic Cup because
winning the Club World Cup was so important to them)
went out in the 1st round.
Not to mention the South American dominance of the
Intercontinental Cup between 1976 and 1985.
