Ah the final day of Championsliga, nice and dependable, always just
before Christmas and the winter break. Yes we old folks like things to
stay the same, we dont like change. We still want Asbestos in our
walls and lead in our gasoline powered cars. WE want everyone smoking a
pack of cigarettes a day and starting that day with a good stiff drink,
proper the way things were and the way things still should be!

But no! Now matchday 6 of the group stage means nothing, I mean why
even bother playing it, nothing can be decided. Young Boys of Bern,
with 0 points and 2 goals scored are still in it and that is even if
they lose this week.

Back in my day on a Match day 6 of the UCL, we already knew who was in
or out. Yeah we would sit by the tree and watch the matches to see if
Barca or AC Milan finished top of the group, but we knew both teams were
going through. With this new fangled UCL, I dont even know who is
playing whom anymore, there is no explanation of which teams will be
playing? Not even first place Liverpool are yet assured of qualifying,
one of you math eggheads will know, but 15 points just may not be
enough, it is doubtful but it could happen. I think?

And you would think with the top 50 teams in Europa now playing in this
cup, there would be some good matches. Not really, OK maybe 3 semi
interesting matches this week, but that is it! From over 100 clubs only
3 matches! Man City v Juve though neither are lighting up the world.
Inter v Pretenders, but the Pretenders are back to being Pretenders and
Inter are the hottest team in football, so that is probably gonna be one
sided and maybe some people would think Barca v Dortmund is a top match.
BUt other than that nothing. Except maybe watching to see how many
goals Jonathan David scores against the Running Bulls of Salzburgo.

Want to know something else weird. I am deep frying chicken in air now!
How the hell can you fry stuff in air???? Back in my day we fried
chicken in good old grease that was sat in your kitchen for weeks if not
years, not frickin air!!!!
