Unsophisticated Prediction Tiers Season 60 - League ARG/BRA Match Day 4
(2024/11/23-24)
What to do
-----------
Look at the fixtures below: do you play home or away?
*Home*
- Before Thursday (= before 2024/11/20, 23:59 GMT)
=- Pick one team from each of the two matches
*Away*
=- After Wednesday (or even sooner, if the home player has picked their
teams) and before kickoff of the first match on Saturday 2024/11/23
- Pick one of the teams not picked by your opponent (if they haven't
picked any team, you have free choice; if she is Lassie and there is a
tie, diregard the last vote)
=- their opponents will represent your opponent
*ATTENTION: NEW RULE*: If the away player doesn't pick any team before
his/her deadline, the home player will be represented by the team that
achieves the best outcome out of his/her two picked teams.
If the home player doesn't pick any team before his deadline, the away
player can pick two teams (one from each match), and he/she will be
represented by the team that achieves the best outcome out of his/her
two picked teams.
If nobody picks a team, teams are assigned randomly.
Inter-tier match
MH - The Doctor
Gimnasia - Atlético Tucumán
Paysandu - Vila Nova
1. Paysandu
2. Gimnasia
If Mirasol and Novorizontino get promoted (they are close) it would be
the first time for both in Serie A, right? Any story behind their rise,
Lleo or Jesus ?
Countryside São Paulo is very rich compared to the rest of the
country. Their investment capacity, combined with a modicum of
organization, can yield results like this. On the other hand, the
Campinas rivals are also from countryside SP and are heading downwards
to Série C...
so it's not *just* money.

oh wait, I just realised - both of them?
Would that be a good trivia question - cross-town
rivals that get relegated at the same time?
I think both Sampdoria and Genoa went down in the
same year once?
Ciao,

Austrian needs to pick Córdoba, it’s the law.

Pretty sure Hibs and Hearts were once relegated the same year.
Dundee and Dundee United, though I don't think so.apparently not.
I would not be surprised if at one point two of the lesser Moscow teamsBut I can't really say what the big rivalries are there. Spartak - CSKA, Spartak - Lokomotiv, CSKA-Lok perhaps. Dunno about Torpedo and Dynamo
had gone down simultaneously.
And I think Betis and Sevilla both went down one year.Had to look it up.

Yes Sevilla and Betis both went down in 2000, along with .... Atletico Madrid.
In Rio de Janeiro, both Vasco and Botafogo qualified together to Serie
B in 2020.
I think that to compensate you for the emotional distress caused to you
by this unfortunate mistake, you should be awarded 3 bonus points.
That's fair, but Mark has also been distresses by falsely being told he
had won. I think it would be reasonable to have him start his next match
2-0 up, to compensate.
